I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I doubt she is ignorant of the history behind the name tho. Never knew 'Nyamiri' is a derogatory word for "Igbos". all along I had thought its the Hausa Name for Igbo. I use it frequently for my Igbo brothers, i am reading the Historical origin nown grin grin. am learning

Point is, be mindful of the usage of terms having regard for locations & situations...
