Excuzeme: All you mentioned Happens here in this forum.. The average igbo man doesn't even know about all these names you mentioned, it was when I joined nairaland I started seeing all those names.. No igbo man will publicly call a Yoruba or an hausa man any of that |

Miracle2020: Dont mind them, everyone has a "good excuse" to call another tribe a name that tribe does not like being called. But when others call them names, they start crying and rolling on the floor like Donald Trump. Abeg, Aboki na my blodder, Nyamirin dodon'doya, Afonja sef do chop Oiyel Me, l am from Buhari's Fulani Clan in Niger Republic, so please dont abuse me o. 1 Like 1 Share |

Miracle2020: In the beginning, man were one, they spoke one language. Untill God brought different tongues, to bring disunity. But why would God bring disunity among men Simple! They were foolish. One day man will become one again, SPEAK the first language and those are foolish( racial, tribalistic) will not be PART. Lesson: If u let rascim, tribalism eats ur soul, then u are foolish God hate foolish people. I warned u. 1 Like |

Miracle2020: Lol. I knew there would be one loose nutjob that would speak out of Thier rear end. Since you are slow upstairs, my comment was very general & is most relevant to people who have a visible position in life & are able to influence the opinion of others... I wasn't referring to nobodies such as yourself... 1 Like |

Ladycewhy: Racism to me is more of an attitude or expression than a statement or use of specific words. Sm1 May call u by ur name and never mention niggah, monkey and still be racist to u then Sm1 who calls u niggah. A Blackman has no right to call his fellow Blackman nigger when a white man shudnt knowing the history of the name unless he’s stupid and disrespectful to himself. Or unless it’s generally permissible under certain circumstances by anyone. |

classicfrank4u: That is exactly where l am going, it is only the Igbos that are perfect, whether online or offline, right? O'diegwu, carry-go my Brother, l will not debunk your theory but inside you, l am certain you know the truth. Igbos call others these names, randomly within their own enclave, just as they do it online but for fear of what may happen, they wont do it in their host's place! After Buhari, the Nnyamirin are the next, most 'clannish'. Go and read the history of what happened at the first, Federal University in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan, when one Nnyamrin was made the Vice Chancellor. 3 Likes |

SMBH: Like I wrote in my post... Be mindful of locations & situations... For instance, if you call someone a Mullato (person of half black, half white, usually of Spanish/Portuguese descent but is often extended to other similar racial combinations) in Nigeria, such a person won't bat an eyelid & might even be cool with being termed such. But call someone a Mullato in countries like Brazil, Argentina, Spain & some other countries, & it could turn bloody because it can be termed an insult... However, in those same countries, there are certain places where it is used in a casual manner & everyone is ok with it... Hence my point of location & circumstances... |

nettpen: So it must be a Musician that calls others an offensive word, before it matters, baa? Tomorrow when an Nnyamirin Artist draws an Afonja with 'Cone-head' or an Aboki with 'Maluu-head', wont you say it doesnot matter because the offender is not a Musician? 1 Like |

Miracle2020:If I am not mistaken, 'Aboki' means 'my friend' and 'Mallam' means a learned man. Its equivalence in Yoruba is 'Ogbeni'. Both are not derogatory in any way. |

Re: Di'ja's Single "Inyamuri" Generate Ethnic Reactions (Photos) by Malawian(m): 6:45pm On Dec 10, 2020 |
fnep2smooth:Ndi Ugwu (Used for Hausas) which rightly describes people who live in "hills" or upland, is not meant to be derogatory neither is it by the way as Hausa land in commonly called "Ugwu Hausa", If you want to know a derogatory term, when you hear "Onye Alukuba" or "Adamu" you know it is meant to be derogatory. Ndi Ofe Mmmmanu (Used for Yoruba) might be derogatory for Yoruba, but it is nothing but descriptive term for Igbo (Yorubas had a soup that was just red oil in nature), if you want to know the derogatory term for Yoruba, when you hear Onye Mgbati-ngbatim, you know!! The Dija do neck like giraff wey dem dey give doggy style. |

Re: Di'ja's Single "Inyamuri" Generate Ethnic Reactions (Photos) by CSTRR: 6:48pm On Dec 10, 2020 |
TheRareGem1:That is also another angle. The name may have been so used up north that it has lost its real derogatory meaning. To some of them like Di'ja, it may just be like any other name. Because I don't think she is stupid enough to intentionally play a tribal card on a music video. It could just be a honest mistake. |
