Nairobi of recent handles Nigeria applications. But it you leave it blank, it will be sent to appropriate office. first time I sent webform, I left it blank before I was informed it was sent to Nairobi office. Don't know if it could be re allocated to another office. Sometimes back, Beijing issued some approvals

Hi Gurus in the house,

I've been a follower here for a long time.
My hubby's visa just got approved, please what is the fastest means to send his passport to Abuja VFS Office? ( I've been following and it seems Abuja VFS office is faster than Lagos right?)

Please also advise on what to be included in the package going to the VFS Abuja office, asides from his passport.

Thanks

Do 2-way courier. That's my own advice so you don't pay 12,000 for the same thing you can pay 2,000 for. It can be painful!

Hello Insanity,

... and anybody that did a 2-way courier and have their passport back.

Did you fill the VFS online consent form for passport return?

I did a 2-way delivery and got email to fill the consent form. Will my passport still be returned without me filling and sending back their consent form?

Insanity:

I enveloped all the documents below and sent to

Visa Application Centre
Sterling Bank Plaza, 3rd Floor
Plot No 1083, Mohammadu Buhari Way,Central Business District
Abuja
Nigeria

Documents:
-2 duly signed consent form.
-2 copies of passport data page
-Passport Request Letter
-Yellow biometric slip
-Receipt of payment of transmission fee N7430 or so( you pay this fee if you didn't capture biometrics at Abuja VFS)
-A paper with your contact details: name, phone number, email address, home address.

Pay the transmission fee to
Canada Logistics Collection Account
Sterling Bank Plc
0065165839

Disclaimer: please confirm the account details before any transaction.

I sent via DHL 2-way courier and it's going in good pace compared to Lagos VFS.

Thanks, @Lekkiboe,

So just to confirm, this package would be sent via DHL or any choice company? Right?

As per the biometric slip, he did biometric 2 years ago and we can't find the slip. What do we do?

Please what should the consent letter state?

Pardon my many questions,

Please help me with this information, anybody please.

Uzomachukwu:

The finances currently look good, I think. I only but wonder though, how come you're pursuing a doctoral admission that doesn't have any funding, either in the way of a GTA/RA or a fellowship? It's kinda odd, especially considering that we're talking about McGill, a tier-one institution that only admits graduate students it can satisfactorily fund.

Anyway, regarding your question, I think you've addressed the issue of finances, but the question of home tie still lingers. IRCC is aware that your kids and wife in Nigeria aren't good enough to serve as home ties because as soon as your legs stay in Canada for one, two or three months, you're going to start pursuing their own visas too, and IRCC wouldn't refuse you because that would be going against their own policy of reunification.

So, I think, perhaps you need to demonstrate home ties in other ways: investments, lands, teaching appointment letter in Nigeria (assuming you're working, for example, as a lecturer in a university here in Nigeria) accompanied with payslip and approval letter for your study leave.
Thank you sir. I have added my employment letter and study leave letter with active bond to return as my salaries wud be paid while am away. Also added a landed property as well as car proof of ownership. Wife is working and her salary is good enough to suffice dem while am away. Added her employment letter

You are Welcome

- The Package is to be sent via DHL or UPS

- To your second question, i don't have an answer to that,
I would suggest you await response from members in house who didn't have their Biometric Slip with them and were able to submit their passport for stamping and got it back.

- The Consent Form is a form in which your husband gonna fill some of his details on. You have to Print it, then fill the required fields in the second page only.

While Abuja is faster than Lagos, bare in mind that you may or may not get your passport this month. I am not sure when their holiday begins.
Take note, if you're not in a hurry to travel and this is your first Application and you did biometrics at Lagos then use it.
But if this is your second or third Application, use Abuja.
For services and speed, it's subjective, for me I trust UPS for some others it's DHL so to answer your question both of them are fast as they have same process

These are awesome, I must say, very impressive. I really hope the VO sees it this way too.

Coincidentally, I saw this YouTube video (

Thanks a lot @lekkiboboe. i've downloaded the form.

My hubby has gotten a visit visa previously so the biometric slip was collected that time. ( I'm hoping they'd have this information)

How will DHL know when the passport will be ready?

Does he just go to any DHL office and pay for two way return from the passport office, I'm confused, please provide more clarity.

This question is open to anyone who has also gone through this.

Thanks.

I'm hoping that the passport will return before Christmas, if we send it tomorrow.
