So, new qualification date is now Dec 28.
Who are those saying they received their bonuses already? Did anyone actually receive the Sept bonus?

I said that,

My broker misled me on this.

Apology for misinforming NSEMPA.

Oh ! Great!
Means no-one receive the bonus then.
Also means the new one/date is for everyone like Obagadaffi said.

All the people that put Access, FBNH, UBA, Zenith etc on almost full offer days back where did they go to? Why are they no more bringing out the offers or did anything change?

Please what's the qualification date for Zenith dividend?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by safepaulooo(m): 12:10pm On Dec 11, 2020
Good question. That's why i always say that the market is manipulated by the market makers to broadcast what they want, pass the message they desire. Don't go by what you see.

Yes I bought Access then, with Unilever. But decided to wait a little more before buying more before buying more access since the price kept reducing.
Thank you for the information on how I can average the cost price down.
But for the few months I have been studying Nigeria market, this is my first time if seeing this kind of red.
Used to happen sometimes like that, though not very common to see red across board suddenly like that. This market can act somehow sometimes........One would have thought today would be bloody but it isn't. smiley

I am thinking of class action against AIICO on the qualification dates manipulations.

What do you think?

I think it's not necessary.
Amendments are allowed in as much as due process is followed and they acted within the law.
Also, those that picked up right issues wouldn't be in same line of thought with you, they were sidelined before and now they have the privilege of enjoying the bonus too.
If you already sell your holdings, I want to believe you didn't sell at loss. The gain should be your consolation here + you can still buy back to partake in the bonus.........just watch out for pullback (if there'll be any) and buy before qualification date. Shikenah! grin

I noticed something sha, but then their could be a bug in my calculations.

Don't know if you have heard of Mean Reversion, simply put, it assumes that if the price of a stuck deviates from its established mean value, it tends to return to its mean.

I wrote a small program that applied a version of this reasoning to our stock market data and it was profitable. Actually, I have two sets of data, one collected from investing dot com, running from 2012 to date and the other, I personally collected it from morgan daily price list correspondence, both were profitable.

The strategy is simple, and here it is:

I buy the five worst performing stocks(in terms of returns) of the last month, on the first of present month and sell on the last day of the month. I buy equal weight, that is if I am playing with 1 mill for example, I distribute 200k to each stock in d portfolio.

Very simple strategy, though it requires some amount of computing in other to scan through all 155 stock every month.

grin grin grin

See bro, a lot has changed. the professionals (MM and banks etc) are the ones making this market. They cant lose money like us

The market can not just go down in a straight line, then we have a crash. Yesterday activities made a lot of stock to leave some level.

people come in and buy from these professionals as they bid the market up slowly. When the time come they would sell and move the market to a lower level. Remember the Market makers accummulate at rock buttom price. It is their time for profittaking all,the way.

If the market should go up it must convincely break the high of the previous high. Then one could follow.

if you can lay your hands on books that delves into working of stock market better especially insiders guide. You would understand more.

In case youn are looking to invest you can enter at your comfort zone waiting for the activities of the bull.
