Akeabasi: Hi Akeabasi I made my payment through someone outside Nigeria - this is the best option I suppose. It was seamless. If you know someone in Aussie, better for you to let that person make payment on your behalf. All the Best! 1 Like |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by toayojj: 9:40pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
Akeabasi: The payment would be done through your profile. This is the last thing to be done, as the person will have to click on submit all documents or so before applying the payment at the end. Meaning, you have to release your details and probably do a video call with the person. All the Best! |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by toayojj: 9:40pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
cdieli: Just position and roles/responsibilities undertaken under each position will do. All the Best! 1 Like |

movicy: If you have one year post qualification experience, you can still get a positive assessment, the issue will be if you can make enough points to be invited to apply. The cost is available on the assessing authority's website. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 5:33am On Dec 13, 2020 |
DJMJ: I am not sure about the part that CDR is hard but I supposed anyone that earned the degree will be able to write enough for a positive assessment. You are right with going for the occupation that is not crowded but you also have to consider prospects for state nomination. In your case, look into other civil engineering related roles with better prospect for nomination. The draftsperson is limited and you may be on the queue for a long time. 1 Like |

Good Day All, What's the difference between Skills Assessment Support and Skill Assessment For General Occupations on the VETASSESS online Page. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by toayojj: 6:24pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
cdieli: Skills Assessment Support Skills Assessment Support (SAS) services are for migration agents and prospective applicants who are yet to submit their Skills Assessment application to VETASSESS. The SAS services aim to provide additional and tailored support to applicants and agents for submitting an assessment-ready application for general professional occupations assessed by VETASSESS. There are two different SAS services: Consultation Service This service provides tailored information via a 30 minute phone consultation about the VETASSESS Skills Assessment criteria for occupational classifications. Document Checking Service This service checks whether the documentation you are planning to provide for a skills assessment will be sufficient for a Skills Assessment application. 1 Like |

cdieli: Skills Assessment for Professional Occupations Our Skills Assessment for General Professional Occupations is for you if you are planning to migrate to Australia and your occupation is classed as a general professional occupation. If you haven't already determined how we categorise your occupation, check to see if it is a general professional or trade occupation. Please note that we are unable to provide migration advice. For any queries related to visa options and points test, please contact the Department of Home Affairs. |

DJMJ: Hi. In my experience, EA isn't something to be scared of (now that I've gone through it) provided you write your CDR well. Use the draft in MSA booklet AND ESPECIALLY the statements of duties to guide you. If you've been in construction, be very descriptive. Eg I used a 9mm steel rod instead of a 5mm Iron rod because I determined from my strength of materials knowledge that bla bla. Show your innovation with how you improvised here and there. Put in some technical jargon. State measurements and attach drawings or pictures. I believe you'd be fine that way. 2 Likes |
