Good morning all, I have decided to dedicate this week to harass VFS Lagos so that I can get back my passport. Those we submitted together either have their passports or are already in Canada. In fact, some who submitted after me have also got theirs back. I will be using phone calls and emails or even twitter if necessary. Please if you have confirmed details of any of these contact modes that have proofed successful, kindly share with me. For instance, which phone numbers or email addresses are most reliable and what specific auto-redial app for android have you used? Thanks. 3 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akannitommy: 8:07am On Dec 14, 2020 |
Sorry to hear about that. I don't think you should give up that quickly. I suggest you take some time off to de-stress and then relaunch your quest. As a fully funded student applicant, home ties may be more critical in your case than the finance aspect. In fact, both can be covered with the same additional inclusions in your application. Being fully funded does not mean you won't show some evidence of funding or local investments plus provisions for family (if you have one). I suggest you come back to explain your timelines and all the documents submitted. You will get needed help here and able to reapply. kelvine95: 2 Likes |

Foski01: Hello Foski01, Good to have change your program to something much progressive. The note is well simplified and addressing the VO's concerns as stated therein may help you application. Since the VO raised concerns about the availability of the funds to you, why not make some part payment of your tuition fees from your sponsor's account and have the rest funds cool off in your BA. You should ensure this time that you sponsor have a good closing balance after making these commitments. There is no need getting a new affidavit of sponsorship or LOI if the details contained therein are valid and updated. Don't just focus only on trying to prove that your sponsor is financially stable. If you're a matured applicant, demonstrate your employment situation and level of establishment in your home country. There should be evidence and good convincing. If this can be settled, you will have less concern in regards to your HT. If your sponsor is your in-law, why not briefly tell the VO why the sponsorship intent is important to him. You may also want to demonstrate that your parents are well-established and any close family member of utmost concern to your application. Don't leave out your future plans and the importance of the prospect course to its fulfillment. Be realistic about it and ensure to use your environment to measure the plans and if possible, briefly discuss the blueprint(s) of its attainment. The most important thing, avoid too many story telling in your letter, be direct and make it terse. All the best 1 Like |

simababe:Hello, I don't know if you have a response yet...Look at Fanshawe College, Seneca College, George Brown College and if you have the money you can go for Ryerson University. Fanshawe and Seneca have their fees around 2.3 million per semester ...6 semesters in total |

Ensure you add the CAQ if you are going to Quebec Province. @Justmellow sir, is the Covid-19 test result compulsory for everyone or those going on specific airline or heading to certain province? JustMellow: |

JayLaw2: Hello JayLaw2, From the brief explanation regarding your application, it must be well-arranged. Given the 10yrs study gap prior after studying MC, hope you were able to point out to the VO why or how the PR course is well-related to your current work experience despite its correlation to your previous study 10yrs ago?! Wishing you a successful outcome. All the best |

Ikechuqu: Hello Ikechuqu, From past experience and recent findings, you can travel without the LOI if your visa was approved and have your stamped passport. You can send emails to Lagos and Nairobi to the effect. N.B: How to act on this information is your sole decision. All the best |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by kelvine95: 9:57am On Dec 14, 2020 |
I got the NSE in November and my study permit was reviewed between Friday and today, even without me responding to it. Though I later uploaded my IELTS result. I don't think the NSE has anything to do with me being refused a study permit. I have a very unique story, and it is quite reasonable for Vo to think that I won't return home. I am the only child of my mum who bears different last name as me, and my dad is late since I was in jss1, unfortunately I didn't inherit anything from him, since his wonderful sisters had their way. Also, I couldn't get study leave from my work place, since I work for a private firm. I added my mum's land and an affidavit from her. I also added my half sister's birth certificate, this was technically the major home ties I had. 2 Likes |

I suggest you change your ticket. I sent my own passport since November 3rd to Lagos VFS. I have had to change my planned travel from 17th to 26th already. It is too tight between now and 18th - that's just 4-days. adeenzo: 1 Like |

Adwoa816: Hello Adwoa816, It may be better to apply for him from within Canada but if this happenings to be my reality, I would apply now for him given the flexibility in recent trend of visa approvals. For obvious reasons if its refused, you can then set your mind to apply for him from within Canada. The LOE can contain a compelling reasons about his feelings of you leaving him behind, which in your assessment can affect his mental performance and socialization... Reasons should be emotional as it concerns a minor. Ensure to have completely finalized your application before commencing any other. You have to apply for him with same documents you applied with but only that which is most applicable to his personal situation/circumstances. You may also want to get an authorized letter from his school to go on an unscheduled break and valid receipts of tuition payments for the session (if applicable). Been a minor, thing can serve as proof that he will return with you back to base or country of residence. BTW, when did you apply and approved? All the best 1 Like |
