Hi Brothers. Please I need help with info. I just found this thread today. I want to start the Uber business. I have 1.6M saved to get a ride. What kind of car do You suggest I get with that budget and please how easy is it for me to join bolt as a rider?

Please I’d appreciate help. Thanks guys.
Abort mission.
Keep doing what you did to save 1.6M.
If you are strong-headed, look for a car worth 800k or less and sign up.

Why do y'all keep telling people to abort mission when this business regardless is still currently beta than 60% of businesses out there

Senior men dem,

Changing shock absorbers after 6 months (Toyota Camry, front alone. While adding air to 2 back shocks) is it a normal occurrence on this job?

Or something fundamentally wrong?

Because, most times expectations as regards income are overstated while inputs/ efforts to achieve same are downplayed.

If you drive in Abuja. Something is wrong. I drove in Abuja for 2 straight years before I changed my shocks.

If you go to Jabi, as of then to fill your absorbers with oil cost around 1k each.

If one is not observant, the toks shocks sold are often the bad shocks that was refilled with oil n fitted with tokunbo springs.

The business is not that bad so far the car is his or hers.

For me, I do part time as follows:

1. One ride towards office in the morning
2. Two or max 4 rides in the evening
3. 9 hours approximately sat and sundays

I receive lots of cash trips which I use for mundane things for house and still get alert of at least 16k to 20k every Monday (Uber). I strongly believe someone doing it full time would make much more.

PS. My gross before fuel weekly is always more than 50k despite the short duration of working. So it is not as bad jare especially with surge and bonuses.

B. A lot of man hours are lost during the weekdays ( a lot of drivers wait endlessly for trips during the day which don't happen, forget Xmas .
5-9am, 5-10pm, these time belts aggregate the highest volume of trips in a day.

C. The guy who grossed over 200k on watsap group. Over 40% of that score was made over the weekend. Yet he still worked for 7 days in a week. Longer hours do not necessarily translate to more earnings.

Others might have a different opinion. But, chillex8 won't invest more than 400k to purchase a car strictly for ehailing.
When you are on the road, you see things, learn, relearn, adapt, re-strategize e.t.c.
The choice is yours eventually.

If it's permanent blocking they won't pay ooo.
Can you still access your account? If yes, they will pay but if you can no longer access the account just know they will never pay. Talking from experience

It's Uber I know that pays if they block you, you can still access your account but may not be able to go online.
The transaction history will be there and if they owe you will see it and also see the last payment and everything.
But not so with bolt and spanner

All without going to the PU point?

Felicity0001:

Bolt rating system is a total nonsense... How could oncebrating drop from 4.78 to 4.28 in just 3days? I barely did 16trips within these 3days. Before the drop my rating rises from 4.58 to 4.78 and the next thing was a sky drop.

Its like I'll change my mood of operation going forward, any time in get a request and the name is Eastern, Jennifer, Sharon, or any of those flashy names I will just accept, arrive and cancel after 5min... No time for bad energy.

Update on the get together!!

From popular demand, and suggestions garnered through all channels, I am here to inform y'all that the get together has been Postponed to Thursday, January 21st, 2021. The Venue still remained Jamrock Cuisine, lekki -Epe expressway after Elaganza bus stop when coming from the Mainland.

The shift of date was necessitated because of activities lined up for almost everyone of us taking cognizance of persons traveling this week and the wedding ceremony of one of us (Bishop). And again, the thirst for surge cannot be dampened whatsoever.

The organisers pleadingly seek everyone's advantage before this conclusion was reached and we together we can do to this.

The account is still open and the fee for food alone is 1,800. Please pay up so we can all do things together.

Hoping this meets you well.... We move!

Na today I know why some drivers dey assault riders. Picked this Olosho from Osapa London to Elegishi area this morning. Trip ended 1100, she now said she wants to transfer. I said ok during the transaction I got another trip, called the rider that I'm trying to collect a transfer he should bare with me, he agreed. After like 3 mins this girl was just fiddling with her fone complaining of network. I now told her to use my hotspot. She said it was not working, that 2 of her banks app have network issue. I now told her she should have told me it's transfer she wanted to do, the next thing that came out of her mouth is why am i talking like an illetrate that I'm the one supposed to ask before the trip of its cash or transfer. I just laughed and told her she doesn't know what she is talking about and she shouldn't insult me. She said I'm the one insulting myself that I should not say it outside. All these while I was trying to control myself because I stutter when I'm angry. I told her no Wahala let her borrow money from someone, she said nobody ok let's go to an ATM , she doesn't use ATM card. I now got angry that she should find away to pay, the stupid girl now said I should come tomorrow that I'm just wasting my time and I should go for my other trip. My head just dey raise fire small, I now called the new rider that he should cancel and explained to him. I now put off my app told her I'm ready to wait for that money, anyhow e go be my money go come out. She now called one of her friends and was explaining to her, she now repeated that illetrate statement, I don't know when i flared up opened my back door did like i was going to grab her phone and shake her a little. The girl still dey raise voice saying She will blow me. Some of her neighbours and alaye's were now trying to calm me down. One of her neighbours that has a store ended up paying for her. Anytime I get request and see say na Olosho my moral dey always drop. Ive been taking alot of side comments lately

o ma ga ooo! So poor illiterate and hoodlums driver's like us should now ask if it's cash or transfer again

Aiit, we move!
