President in waiting Joe Biden will give a unity speech this evening from Delaware. He has a big job ahead of him and I pray that he can step up to it because America is very divided now but being an optimist, we will unite and America will be stronger for it.

---I admire Biden dignity throughout the fiasco played by Trump and his electoral henchmen to discredit the election results---now he can fully do all he can to unify the U.S.---

Biden is a man of class unlike the useless Trump. Nothing presidential about Trump. No class and no decency about him. He cares about no one but Trump.

Trump’s temper tantrums don’t make it a contested election. If at least one member of the House and one member of the Senate object to any state’s electoral votes, the joint session will recess to their respective chambers for two hours to debate and vote on the objections. If BOTH the House and Senate do not vote to accept the objections, those objections are rejected. Democrats have the majority in the House. Game over.

Spot on PDPGuy. I will love to see Pence at the Joint Congress when he has to announce Biden as the President elect. That stooge is so scared of Trump.
Another garbage filled Republican calling his wife Mummy. These Republicans are really pathetic set of people. Who calls his wife Mummy if not some religious bigot calling himself an Evangelical

True - the power Trump holds on his party is quite different from Palin's and Tea party of that time.

Exactly.Palin did not succeed in being VP had she won the election with Mccain she and the tea party would have had a stronger influence on the party the same cannot be said of Trump. If he had lost 4 years ago we won't be talking about Trumpism right now the damage has been done with only 4 years imagine if he got 8 years thankfully NO.Trump was elected and got 11 million more votes than last time Trump and Trumpism is quite different from Palin and the tea party.Trumpism is far right and dangerous and is not going away anytime soon even with Trump out.Palin did not get the VP seat hence the tea party did not thrive as Trumpism has and will continue to because Trump was elected 4 years ago unlike Palin.I am not that optimistic about the GOP leaving Trumpism anytime soon.

You know nothing.

You know nothing about the constitution and you know nothing about what you are saying.

If it comes to that the vote will be per senators with Mike pense being the deciding factor.

And it the house, the vote will be one vote per delegation, per state and not per house members.

The republicans have 30 delegations and the democrats have 20 delegations.

So actually common sense should tell you that it is all over for Biden.

Trump will be re elected and there is nothing any body can do about it.

President in waiting will be addressing the Nation in less than an hour. Trump still thinking he's going to be sworn in on Jan 20 while Melania is looking for a storage to put some of their junks after they are out of our House. Deep cleaning needed in the White House. I hope the people in charge inventory everything in the WH because these grifters that steal from children charity with cancer will stick their fingers to what doesn't belong to them. You can't trust a family of grifters.

The only thing is that if the Republicans don't back down from Trumpism, the party will be doomed and that's bad for America and Americans. As much as I loathe Republican Party, i still believe that we need two viable parties to be a check on each other.

Lol. You keep digging holes for yourself.

The vote of House delegations come into play when there is no clear EC majority (after BOTH the House and Senate must have voted to reject competing slate of electors from a state).

Read and understand, a house member may raise an objection to the slate of electors from a state. But if he/she doesn’t have a co-sponsor from the senate, then that effort is dead.

The whole house delegation voting for president will NOT arise at all. So far, no Senator has indicated that s(he) would co-sponsor any such objection from a House Republican.
Mike Pence is not a Senator. He can only vote when there is a tie in the senate.

Lol e go clear for your eye very soon.

The fact remains. Republicans 30 delegations. Democrats 20 delegations.

In the senate, vice president the deciding factor.

So how on earth will Biden be president?

Trump knows this but he was just doing the right thing by passing through the courts but he knows he will win.

Why bother explaining to such brain dead mōron.

You are overcomplicating things for his level of reasoning.

In simple terms, the power to select electors lies in the hands of The Governor, so:

(1.) State Legislators trying to submit alternate electors is illegal in the first place

(2.) The Supreme Court affirmed that on Friday in a suit Texas brought to put elector selection back in the hands of the State Legislature

(3.) The Michigan State speaker Lee Chatfield has actually affirmed that their electoral votes will go to Biden

(4.) Therefore the clown Legislator trying to submit votes for Trump was not even representing the Legislature.

That the IsiEwu is genuinely outraged that that clowns electoral vote submission was rejected shows that he doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.

These are basic concepts to anyone with brain capacity above that of a goat

We shall see on the 6th of January.

My advise to anyone in the united States of America is that. You all should leave the united States of America for now for like 5 to 6 months for your own safety.

Go to Europe to relax or go to Australia or south korea for the now.

I've told family members already.

The unrest coming to America will be too bloody.

Stay safe by leaving the united States of America for the mean time.

The democrats have planned everything already after Trump's inauguration.

I am leaking a Very classified info on nairaland right now.

Trump will win but the Dems are planning massive destructing of The peace in the united of America.
