For my mind I was like Na me cause am, I drive only weekends mostly Sunday because my car is parked all thru the week cos I use staff bus to work. Let me make money while warming up my car. Then one girl wey I give close to 15 yrs difference for age probably plenty more go dey bring out rubbish from her gutter mouth, perfume wey I dey use cost pass work she work for night.I am very gentle person who doesn't talk too much, but don't take it for granted. And the thing dey pain me say na mostly my Igbo sisters dey mess up

Hello guys, the idea behind "Meeting and Greeting" is for us to "cap" or "finish" the year together with merriment and banters. If 20th December was no longer feasible, there are still 11 other days in December before the year ends. In my little understanding, the "meet and greet" is actually an "end-of-the-year" get-together for thread members and fans. Why would we be having a "meet and greet" in January, three weeks into the new year? And on a Thursday too? How about those of us that will be at work? How about drivers that would be on the road trying to meet their targets? Do we honestly think a driver under rental will be able to spare 2 hours for food and banter on a Thursday afternoon in January (winter month)? And are we thinking about the restaurant? I know Aunty RadAutoWorks is nice, but I'm sure she wouldn't be pleased with the potential disruption to her business when 30 or so Uber drivers and fans show between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon, merrying, bantering and drinking alcohol.

I would suggest we chose another date in December. Aunty RadAutoWorks has graciously granted us the use of her restaurant, so Sunday, 27th December is another good date. This is surge season for e-hailing drivers. Any driver will find it easy to unwind for an hour or two and then hit the roads back, confident that he will still exceed his target for the day.

My 2 kobo sha. I post in peace.

In addition to this my brothers, some of us still have our 9-6 work and ehailing is only one or two trip b4 resumption and 3 or 4 trip after close of work. We are many on this fence. Please, consider us, thursday will not be ideal.

Pocohantas, Bolt is like a street market for anyhow and razz people. Just bear that in mind today. Both the riders and drivers are wired to be street smart and this triggers a whole lot of aggression. There is nothing like a strong link between bolt drivers and aggression. Infact, what you call aggression from drivers is just their defensive natural instincts kicking in to defend them against abusers, criminals, horrible riders, disgusting pigs, manipulative bitches and unrepentant hoes. This is 100% real truth.

Bolt is patronised mainly by 90% females and 10 percent males. This is pure fact. Ask any driver. For every 90 females you carry, you carry 10 males.

In this 90% females, a whooping 80% of them are either cooporate or street prostitutes.

How did I arrive at this statistics? 80% of females I carry arr either going to one hotel, club or "daddy house". Yes you can argue that going to a hotel or club does not make one a prostitute. How then did I know? Their conversations. These ladies are very shameless and useless.

I have actually been with girls who are discussing how a particular sexploit went down quickly in 10 minutes and they earned 50,000 each instead of the usual clients that will lash for 2 hours and pay 10k. You dey see am?

If you are a disciplined driver, how do you think such conversations will wind down to you? The funny thing is that you can't even stop them because they are all razz.

Its only on Bolt that girls will cime into your car with menstrual blood, stain everywhere and leave it like that without compensation. On Uber, you are paid for it 100%. Why you no go calm down as Uber driver?

Took a man to spar, the arrangement was to take him there and bring him back to his house where I picked him.

On getting there, he asked me to follow him inside. I say no wahala. As we got in, na so this man carry basket give me make I help am carry. I con carry basket o they follow am like im boy. We'll walk around, he'll pick things and put in them in the basket I was carrying grin

I knew what I was doing was stupid but two things got me going. 1. The man will definitely compensate me when we get to his house and 2. I didnt want him to give me a bad rating if I refuse to carry the basket. cheesy

To cut the long story short, we got back to his house, fare was 2500 or so and this man gave me the exact amount. Na there my eyes clear.

This man still had the guts to tell me to come and pick him from his house the next day by 6:30am on an offline trip. I say no wahala. The following day, he called 6 times and I didnt bother to pick. smiley

Pocohantas another one on Bolt. If Izzou eventually marries you (Please help his life because he is a nice guy), how would you feel if he recounts this horrible experience to you as your husband?

Poco, On bolt, there has never been a cancellation fee. Infact, On Uber, a rider has 5 minutes after your arrival. If the driver cancels after the 5 minutes, Uber charges rider 400. It even used to be 1,000.

I saw a thread where you were addressing the menace of African time. Very wonderful. I learnt a lot. If per se izzou should get serious with his life and decide to propose.... Pocohantas how would you feel, on your wedding day with izzou if he arrives 30 minutes into the wedding mass? Won't you flare up?

Most bolt riders are highly manipulative, cunny, scheming, crafty, shrewd, machiavellian and devious. A bolt rider can request you and he or she is not even ready for the trip in the next 50 minutes.

A bolt rider will want you to arrive and wait for him or her under the sun. So that whenever she finishes the rubbish that is holding her inside her house, an airconditioned car is already outside waiting for her to enter. They don't want to suffer but want drivers to suffer.

Infact, I don't know why blacks are usually very useless regarding time management. Thats why we are were we are as a country.

Let me use an example to buttress my point. I was at Festac and a trip came in heading to local airport. I called this pig and asked him if he is ready to move. The pig said yes. Can you imagine that 30 minutes after my arrival and calling this young man severally, this man ended up doing what I always run away from. Time wasters! Byt trust me to deal with him ruthlessly.

When he eventually came out with 5 boxes, he screamed Oga open your booth. No apologies whatsoever. I simply wind down my glass and asked;

"Oga how do you want your thunder to arrive? Deep fried, boiled or smoking Hot? E be like say something they worry you for head abi? If you enter this car today, make I shiit stone. Common get out of here joor you morropy. Now as you are ready to move, stand under this hot sun and make a request. Stay only 5 minutes while waiting for your driver and see what I endured for 30 minutes".

I ended trip and ran away. Rider was behind me looking confusedly.

Lol. For me taking rides in the morning around LEkki axis is becoming increasingly difficult especially when you have to enter these co called estates where the rider needs to call the security before you are allowed entry. They can waste your time and airtime. After about 30 mins of getting to PU, calling back and forth and still waiting at the house, ride would not exceed 700. Uber takes their 25%, you know the rest.

How would I not almost vent on the next randy rider who asks if AC is not on without even entering the car yet at about 11:30 am.

The business is not that bad so far the car is his or hers.

For me, I do part time as follows:

1. One ride towards office in the morning
2. Two or max 4 rides in the evening
3. 9 hours approximately sat and sundays

I receive lots of cash trips which I use for mundane things for house and still get alert of at least 16k to 20k every Monday (Uber). I strongly believe someone doing it full time would make much more.

PS. My gross before fuel weekly is always more than 50k despite the short duration of working. So it is not as bad jare especially with surge and bonuses.

In my opinion the business is good ,regardless if the car is urs or not.. If the car is urs than you are at an advantage.....

From observation a lot of business sector is slow, car sales are down and the naira is not doing ok .. $1 to naira is 470 now. Prices of imported goods has gone up ......
That been said, transport business is doing very well, people need to move from point A to point B ..no matter how bad the economy is , transport sector will survive and do better than others...

They way you are making money doing uber, is the smartest way to go about it .. You are strategizing on how to make something without killing yourself , even if you make 10k naira doing it your way , it is something coming in ,it is extra money that you didn't have.
Business is all about learning curve and strategizing..

If everybody behave civilised why will someone transfer Olosho induced anger as u put it on you? The same goes for every person rendering a service.

The thing has just been replaying in my head. I have very elastic tolerance, it takes alot for me to reason person matter. Imagine I'm trying to explain to her the riders also needs to ask if I accept transfer or not, you don't expect me to ask every rider. Lol... Its shows the level of discipline our cultures has on us as a people. All through my time I've been driving with Uber/Bolt I've never 4 once had an issue with a northerner, few cases with southerners and if I want to investigate deeply I know I will trace some origin of easterner to those i thought are southerners.

Igbo ladies(oloshos) especially those from Imo state lack a single manner.

That was how I carried this stupid Jennifer last week Friday from Lekki, her address was a hotel on the mainland, can't even relate where the place is, she didn't take much time to come out after I called I'd arrived. Mumu started giving me directions "Oga follow here" go here" play Davido". I tried to be friendly by asking if she's a Davido's fans she responded by saying she's Davido's wife. I smiled and said the only Davido's wife I know is Chioma and you don't look like her. That killed the discussion.
We ascended 3MD and it was getting dark already. Like madam just resuscitated from a ramp of hard se*
"Oga where u dey carry me go?"
I quickly reloaded my map against from the address on the app, same route.
Me: aren't you going to Bleep hotels?
Her: yes na but this is not the way I know na.
Me: Are you sure of the address so? Maybe you should call the person you're going to see to confirm tje address so we don't go the wrong place.

She put the guy on the phone and the next thing was, hello, I don't understand where this man is taking me to and he's even arguing with me, it's like this man na trouble maker ooh...

I was like, can you imagine? Just like that?

The Guy on the phone accepted to talk to me base on her request. The stupid good for nothing girl with her bad Igbo accent held her phone in her hands with the speaker on and asking me to talk, the guy was saying hello, hello, hello... I didn't respond. "grin man no won talk oooh".

I was getting furious inside of me, i just called myself down immediately and I snatched the phone from her.
Hello, please where do you want me to bring her to, is there a street name or anything, any name at all? because i work with the map.
The Guy: farm city, Ogudu Rd.
Me: okay, thank you.
I quickly editted her address on the Bolt fr9m my end, Off my radio. B4 all of this she requested to connect to my Bluetooth but I declined by say, if you connect I'll find it difficult to reconnect back (this has been my perfect excuse for the past 3weeks to riders that always request to connect).

In the remaining period of the ride she was just playing all sorts of tunes from music to videos, WhatsApp status, porns and all that... Making all sort of calls to different people speaking Igbo ...Watin concern me, i just mind my business.

Got to her destination, she called the guy to come pay. Guy ttransferred to me, i rated her 1star and left.

Set destination home, next thing I saw my rating dropped from 4.58 to 4.28. I couldn't work Sunday and yesterday... Trying to go online this morning Bolt blocked my account till Saturday.

Hello house, I want to get this 2003/2004 Nigerian used Rav4 from my Landlord. He's giving it away at 500k just because its me. But he already told me I will fix the exhaust and AC. The Engine and Gear are perfectly in good condition. I want to confirm if RAV4 2003 will be accepted for Uber Biz in Lagos ?

Responses are needed from Honorables here.
