By the late Last year 2019, multiple reports have it that, there has been an outbreak of COVID 19 in China, which causes coronavirus,

In a few weeks, it became epidemic over there

And in less than 4 Months by Match 2020, it has traveled all over the world and has become a pandemic, with over A million-plus death records globally as of 15th December 2020

Then Came The Good News, A Vaccine Is Now Available

It took scientist 1 year to develop vaccines and as I write to you, the vaccine is now being distributed all over the world, for free

The vaccine developed has been globally accepted

My questions are
For over 100+ years, there have been cancer-killing people all over the world, sciences have not been able to develop vaccines for cancer

For years there have been HIV, Yet no vaccine, no cure, but it tool scientist just 1 year to develop a vaccine for COVID 19

1.There is nothing fishy really....this isn't the first virus or other organism to jump into humans from animals and cause disease .

Plus the Plague epidemics of the 14th century and the Spanish flu of 1918 were infinetly worse.

Then add the fact that in the last 50-60 years, transport has improved. (If you read Achebe's No longer at ease, Obi Okonkwo goes to England to study via a ship which took several weeks. Today, that same journey takes over ten hours by air., less if you were using the good old Concorde)...and because of improved transport, covid has spread easily.

2.Still on cancer, the only foolproof way to stop cancer? Genetic engineering....which means some 100 or so years in the future, babies would be genetically engineered not to have genetic mutations that predispose them to cancer. (That of course leads to a whole lot of other complicated issues...)
