How do you convert a ‘visit visa’ to a work permit?

Many ways bro, just use your head. Don't go the LMIA route as it might take time and you most likely will only have 6 months to stay. The trick is, look for an immigration program with less requirement like AIPP, its easier to look for work in Canada if you're there than from here, especially if you're a graduate or have a skill. Don't go looking for manager or director job, look for menial jobs like truck driver, farmer etc, just to get a job quickly and achieve your aim, once you have gotten what u want, u can then push for your career gradually. Bottom line, use your head brother.

I’ve paid and filled the courier form for collection for more than a week now.
Does it take this long to get response from VFS or is there something else I should do ?
I’ve been calling their line and trying to chat vfs but none is working.
Anyone with experience should help please. Thanks

Hi everyone, my mum has been asked to submit her passport. Please i need your help. Apologies if this is a repetition.

1. She did biometrics 2 years ago, this is a visa renewal. Do we have to pay another transmission fee?
2. I cannot seem to find the VFS consent form online.
3. Can i send the passport from Ibadan via DHL and pay a two way courier or do i have to wait for VFS to get back to me and pay using their own courier.
4. Did you have to submit a passport photograph?\

It’s not as easy as you think bro, don’t let any agent or blogger deceive you. A trv is an entry document which doesn’t give any status in Canada and can not be converted to work permit. Secondly, no employer will give u a job if u don’t have a work permit & SIN except u have connections to work under table & be hiding from d cops - i bet you won’t last long before u ar deported. No Canadian immigration program is easy; both LMIA & AIPP require employer support & no employer wants to go through immigration stress when they can easily hire someone that already has a wp or pr.
Yes, it’s easier to search for work while u are inside canada, but it’s extremely difficult to find an employer that will help u within d six months u ar allowed to stay. The Canadian employers know next to nothing about immigration process & when u try to explain to them they see it as too cumbersome, only a few of them understand how the process works. If u are lucky u can find a fellow Naija or indian employer that can help u ( scratch my back I scratch ur back). But then, u & d employer will still have to proof to immigration that they can’t find anyone in canada that can cook egusi soup the way u cook it.

Please I’m looking to purchase tickets for my mum but the airlines refused to sell, they are asking for exemption letter, i explained that my mum is exempted from travel restrictions, still no success. Please anyone travelled recently? How did you purchase flight tickets? Thank you.

EVerything you said is right brother, except IT IS 10000% POSSIBLE to convert TRV to WORK PERMIT!!! Just as I never said it was easy, I said its not impossible. If you have trv, DM, I will advise you on how my friend did his, planned even before he arrived. All na to make sure preparations meets opportunity.

My passport has been sent via ups but ups refused to release it to me and asked for a slip from vfs or a tracking id and i have none of these i have tried severally to reach vfs but still awaiting a response please who can help out.

PS: which vfs office did you use and when did you complete the passport return form. Submitted for my in-laws since one week now no response from them. Not even to acknowledge the receipt of payment
