After about a year of pursuing my work permit, I am happy to announce that I finally have my passport in my hands.

It's been a nerve-racking journey. Unfortunately, I only found this group last month. I wish I have found it earlier because there is just too much valuable information here.

One thing I can do for those that will come after me is these:

1. If you need to pay for school fees and your card is not going, I can help you pay from next year
2. If you are coming to Toronto and need a place to stay for at most two weeks, I can accommodate you from the 26th of December this year
3. If you need a friend in Toronto to gist with, to cruise with and to have fun with, I will be available for you after my quarantine

I have benefitted a lot from this group and I will like to pay it forward.

If you are ever transiting through Toronto and need a place to crash, let me know. I am paying for a 1 bedroom + Den in Toronto after I leave quarantine and I will be glad to accommodate you as long as it is not more than two weeks.

I am travelling using Ethiopian Airlines on December 25th and I have already booked a whole apartment for quarantine. Anyone is free to stay with me during that 2 weeks.

It has ended in praise peeps.

Your generosity is much appreciated. Thanks for the beautiful tips.

UCI is an acronym for Unique Client Identifier, its mostly an 8 digit number or 10 digit number, It is used to identify all individuals applying or that have applied to Canada, be it visiting, study permit, PR, etc..

finally grin grin I just tracked my passport. The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXX has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 2020/12/16.
When should I be expecting my passport? I did a 2-way courier with DHL.

No you don't need it to book for upfront medicals just send a mail to Q-Life or IOM Ikeja to get a date to come for an upfront medical I would advise you book it now against January cuz spaces are filling up fast

You can submit as part of client documents along side with other documents when you want to submit your visa application.

You should get it tomorrow. It turns out your gamble worked well. You may leave on the 18th afterall. Congratulations.

As the saying goes, no two applications are the same.

No don't pay get a date first For Q-Life you pay at the hospital on the day you will be going for the test but IOM I keja I don't know the process cuz I used Q-Life and they fast and effective so you can use Q-Life and it's lesser than. IOM Ikeja .Q-Life is 35k while IOM is 46k so the choice is yours

Good morning people. Was recently directed to this page, as there seem to be a lot of well informed people on Canadian Study Permit applications.

Okay, I applied for my Study Permit in January 2020. My medicals were requested, completed and passed later in March.

Since then, Covid ran rampant and the application timeline has been a bit confusing.

I eventually got my Correspondence Letter in July and I haven’t gotten any update since then. In this process, my Admission Letter got expired in September and although I have an updated one, I don’t think I can upload it unless it’s requested for.

What do you guys think about my chances? Thank you.

Hello guys. Took the advice given here and got my Passport Request today. Really appreciate everyone that helped out. Thank you so much.
If anyone also intends to resume during the Winter semester at University of Regina, kindly reach out so we can talk.

Thanks again.
To everyone still expectant, stay hopeful. It will end in praise.

You can do it but the decision is left for you to make people do it just to expedite the process to make it faster and some wait for them to request for it requesting for it by CIC gives a good sign that your application will be approved and also it doesn't also mean that doing up-front medicals your application won't be approved ooo it just expedite the process they will still check and review all your application to determine your eligibility.Hope you understand now

It's best to wait for your passport to return before you book your flight. But if you want to take the risk, then kindly at least ensure there are up to 3 weeks (minus the holiday period) between the time you're sending out your passport and your flight date—also include the charge for flight rescheduling in your budget, just in case your passport comes in late.
