HigherEd: It’s an image saving response. It shouldn’t take any organisation more than 2-3 days to process a transcript request. I sent such request recently to my former uni and transcript was electronically transmitted to WES within 24hours with a response from the university. In Nigeria people just complicate simple issues |

HigherEd: My only question to CU is why the maiden name issues? That is not theirs to rectify. Her maiden name is a name she took before or after issuance of certificate and we all know it cannot be changed, in the case I guess after issuance of the certificate. So any confusion on the changed name is her and the Law school. |

Even private? This transcript nonsense still occur? Haba! But why? Since July? Blame those distorted souls responsible for processing the transcript. They always behave unprofessional, lack manners, rude, as if they were not properly trained. These kind of people need serious flogging with razor blade koboko. Madam u would have thrown caution and decorum to the wind and physically wrestle them like Jacob did with the angel.

JovialJune: Hubris galore! The main issue with public universities is their funding problems, yet even when going to a private university and paying millions we still had to go to public universities to use their equipment for research. People who are so blinded by their own self righteousness that they don't accept anything that isn't supplication to their alma mater. |

Covenant is an excuse for am higher institution ,oga no be only you go covenant we know many of their alumni and they all have something bad to say about the school Keep quiet! Which something bad are u talking about, you and who know many of their alumni?? Speak for yourself. Many of us can never say anything bad about Covenant, although the school may have it's ugly side but trust me every school does. Covenant is superb! She was obviously lying for reasons anyone is yet to fully comprehend. To what end, really? https://www.nairaland.com/6317448/transcript-saga-maria-ocheja-lied#6317448.31 Looking at the posted timelines of the correspondence between CU, the Applicant and the Law School: 1. It took CU less than 14 working days to process & deliver her requested transcript (Sept.10) to the LAW school (Sept.25). 2. 17days later (Oct. 12) the LAW school emailed to informed her about the "actual date of graduation" needed on the transcript. (Note, academic transcripts don't carry exactly DATE of Graduation, it is only semester/session/year), only your Academic Certificate carries actual Date of Graduation. 3. From Oct.12, it took her another 14days (Oct.26) to forward that LAW school's email to CU (cc: the VC, and Registrar). 4. Within 1 day, CU sorted her case, and informed her what she would need is the CTC of her Certificate (at a cost). 5. It took her another 13days (Nov.9) to respond & pay for the CTC of her Certificate. 6. Same day (Nov.9) CU started processing her CTC certificate & other forms. 7. On Nov. 17 (4 working days later, minus weekend), the Surname & Maiden Name discrepancy on her attestation form was communicated to her. 8. Until 15days later (Dec.2) before a new attestation form bearing her Maiden name was sent to CU by the LAW school. 9. Shiloh week (Dec.8-13), CU temporarily shut down. 10. Dec.14, her application request was completely processed to the CU courier unit for dispatch to the LAW school. We was informed about this & she acknowledged? Only to come on social media next day, Dec.15, to display such derogatory outbursts? Blatantly lying that she applied since July? What a CU graduate indeed! ******* HigherEd:

Rebuke:Bros the most sensible thing for the organisation to do going forward is to double up its efforts to ensure that this incident does not repeat, create a channel whereby these kind of issues are resolved before they become a public spectacle. Is like there is also communication gap between the graduates and the school management. Feedback is very important. Most people out of stubbornness don't take feedbacks seriously. 1 Like |
