The regime just announced the opening of Nigerian land borders. The regime closed the land borders for close to two years "to halt the flow of illegal arms and drugs" as they claimed. Presently the availability of small arms has hit the sky. This huge local arms trade is feeding the massive and unprecedented insecurity.

What is the achievement of president Buhari for closing the land borders for close to two years? People should ask this question. NONE! And what are the losses?

� The much needed imports from neighboring countries halted.
� Jobs related to export-import trading with neighboring countries destroyed.
� Hundreds of Youths smuggling two bags of rice from neighboring countries killed.
� Unnecessary deploying of thousands of security forces to man the land borders despite massive and unprecedented insecurity at home.
� Deny the country the billions of taxes at the land borders.
