I am still finding it hard to believe this much people found "Tenet" confusing...like it was a classic Nolan mind twister that shouldn't be too hard to figure out on your own or from movie discussing forums. If you saw menmeto, Inception or the prestige, then you should easily get Tenet. Hell "Donnie Darko" gave me more headache than this.

The prestige was straightforward imo.

Yeah the dark days are over..Suicide squad was like 27% on RT that year.. really dark times for DCEU.

The best way to review this picture is by juxtaposing it with Inception, both are high concept movies, both require rapid attention to fully grasp or at least grasp to some extent and both rely heavily on exposition to carry the plot, but in inception, the story is actually about the characters, it was personal, the protagonist went on a journey and you root for him to come out accomplished whereas in tenet it's about the concept; every single character in the movie felt expendable including the protagonist, it was difficult to feel the stakes, every scene, dialogue, sequence and action felt like it was put in place to explain the concept.

The concept itself was awe-inspiring, in an era filled with remakes and reboots and superhero garbage, a picture like this is worthy of adulation, but it's characters that drive a story, not the concept.

As "THE CHARACTER" said, don't try to understand it, feel it.

Knives Out: 3.5/4 stars

One of the best mystery flicks I've seen in a while with its intricate plot and surprisingly fine performance especially from Daniel Craig.

I'm watching out for this Lakeith Stanfield guy, I believe he'll go far.

If this is how movie theaters want to fight Warner Bros then I will have to laugh cuz they, the struggling movie theaters, that lost a lot of money due to covid 19 will only loose more money with this revenge tactic...

Warner Bros will make up for their own loss with the millions of subscribers they'll be getting on HBO Max.

As for movie theaters....not so much.

People will visit dem theaters to see Matrix 4 and Godzilla vs Kong for as low as $3 and theaters will loose more money with their dumb move.

For those that don't know the gist....Warner Bros will be releasing their entire 2021 movie slate on HBO Max on the same day it hits theaters, so people can now decide whether to watch WB films in theaters or on HBO Max (USA only)

The entire Hollywood is angry, Warner Bros is the big bad wolf now.

I'm talking about the scene below where she and Steve Trevor were in a car chase ..it leaked in the early weeks of December and quite frankly the scene was quite wack, CGI out of place and the action sequence was amateur for a movie of this magnitude, so the movie faced a barrage of negative reviews that day, but i did want to judge the entire movie from that one scene.
