ok. Just wanted to be sure. Truth is, things are a little different now from the way NCoS and FFS recruitment were conducted last year. The introduction of CBT is altering things, though I believe physical screening cannot be skipped.

That's if they will actually use the CBAT results to shortlist.
That's if the process is not hijacked by this desperate politians
With way things are about going, can someone still hope that there will be transparency of the process

The CBAT was and will not be cancelled as some of you are parading it online.
This is what REPs. HAFIZ IBRAHIM KAWU wanted

Resolves to:
(i) Urge the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) to immediately suspend and/or cancel the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) that was conducted on the 7 and 8 December, 2020 being discriminatory and contrary to the enshrined principles of fairness and social justice, and revert to the previous manner by which the said agencies have conducted recruitment exercises in the past; and

(ii) mandate the Committees on Interior and Federal Character to monitor the CDFIPB recruitment exercise and ensure strict compliance and adherence to the principles of fairness and social justice.

But during the debate
Rep. Ahmed Jaha proposed an amendment to prayer 2 of the motion to mandate the affected committees to investigate and report back to the House within six weeks.
The motion was voted on and adopted as amended.
The amended motion was that
The House Committees Interior and Federal Character were mandated to monitor the recruitment and report to the House in 6 weeks

Rep. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu fear was that his people will be denied appointment. The role of Federal Character Commission is to ensure that every Local government is equally represented.
This does not stop slot or whatever grin

Ada my sis good morning, do this people really check the NIN because most of other agency doesn't.. The DOB in my NIN is a year a older than the one in all my documents.

The local govt in my NIN is different because I used that of my maternal home to apply for some reasons and I have all documents intact and everything legit but my only fear is if they will insert the NIN number to check ones data..

so that means the list won't come out until after the six weeks investigation by the committees?

To my own understanding they want it to be monitored so that every local govt / constituency will carried along wether exam or no exam

The list can come out anytime even tomorrow or so. The role of House Committee on Interior and Federal Character Commission is to monitor the recruitment exercise.

Uncle what you need is Divine intervention cos NIN is topic of discussion nawadays....since NCC is fighting for harmonization of data. FRSC said without NIN no driving licence, network providers are saying same thing, without NIN no Passport, Banks, Insurance company are saying same thing. Be prayerful so that the person doing the screening won't check it online.

My advice for you is to go and do another NIN that will reflect ur current data. NIN has already been adopted into the civil service.

Do you think it is easy to do another NIN.
Even DOB correction on NIN that's free before in now 20K and that will take 4-5 months to effect.

That's actually not true. This is Nigeria where everything is possible under the sun.
Instead of correcting your data, you can apply for a new NIN which cost only 15k. And the beauty of it is u can get NIN same day or maximum the next day.

I think we all should just chill till the results comes out officially, rather than filing this thread with misinformation and anxiety.

I know some of you are well informed or even in the system already; which is good.

But note, as far as Nigeria is concerned: things, regulations and policies change frequently.

just pray and hope for the best!.

Change or correction of names is #500

Change of Date of Birth is 15k

They make you pay heavily for wanting to falsify your age.

THE NCC DIRECTIVE ON SIM-NIN REGISTRATION

The Federal government, through the NCC has given 2 weeks ultimatum for us to ensure that all phone numbers in Nigeria have a NIN (National ID Number attached). In all fairness, this requirement had been gazetted since 2017 in the "Mandatory Use of the National Identification Number (NIN) Regulations of 2017", but we all ignored it. So, it's actually been a 3 year time grace that the government gave us. The requirement would help us all to secure our country better.

Below are 10 things to note about the new NCC directive.

1. If your phone number is not linked to Your NIN by 31st of December 2020, your line would be blocked!

2. For those who already have a NIN, You can get your NIN by dialing *346# from the phone number you supplied during your NIN registration. The service costs 20 naira. You may then choose to save the NIN on your phone so that you don't have to pay again forever.

3. You actually no longer need a physical national I.D card, what you need is just to have your NIN (which is just the number). This is the new trajectory of the government. Remember that for BVN, most people also don't have a card.

4. If you already have a BVN, you may already likely have a NIN even if you have never physically gone to register for a NIN (especially if your BVN starts with 221 or 222), this has been made possible because of the great collaboration between NIMC (National Identity Management Commission) and NIBSS (Nigeria Interbank Settlement System)PLC. You may be able to ask your bank to confirm for you. As a matter of fact, for those who use GTB, you can log into your account online or the bank app to check for your NIN by yourself (please note that this is not an advert for any bank).

5. NIMC has now licensed over 150 companies/entities that can carry out NIN enrollment all over the Country, so NIN enrollment would be faster now, unlike when it was only NIMC carrying out the enrollment. This is called the "Ecosystem Approach".

6. Yes, You can tie your single NIN to all your phone numbers. Same way you tied ur single BVN to all your account numbers.

7. To link your NIN to your MTN number, all you need to do is dial *785#. For those who are in diaspora (and so can't dial the USSD), you can use the URL https://mtnonline.com/nim/ .

To link your NIN to your AIRTEL number, all you need to do is dial *121*1#.

We await the ussd codes and URLs of the other telcos for their own sim linkage.

8. If the phone number you used for the NIN registration has changed or is missing, you need to update your record with NIMC. The update costs you only 500 naira.

9. Your submitted NIN would be validated. If your data with the Telco doesn't match with your NIN data, you would have to sort that out while your sim may be temporarily disabled.

10. Sale of new SIMs have been suspended till further notice, so no one can purchase any new SIM for now.

The strategy of GTB in number 3 above can be deployed by other banks to cater for people in Diaspora so that our diasporans can know what their generated NINs are (again, no adverts intended).

The Telcos and NCC need to think about how to handle issues of churned (reassigned) SIMS. I trust this is already in their radar.

This move by the NCC may cause us slight discomfort, but it's something we should all support and commit to, for our own safety security.

Copied!!!
