FG/CBN should have outsourced this whole process to Commercial Banks for a fee. Not this comatose & incompetent NIRSAL.

Those of us who have applied since April till June and have not gotten approval, think hard as to what might be the cause in your application process that is making them approve some pple who applied before you. It go me thinking and I discovered a mistake I might have made in my application process. Now, I don't know this for sure, but its a theory I think might cause lack of approval on my part. I applied for sme when the link for household wasn't going, and when the link for household later went through, I successfully applied on 12th of June. Yet most who applied after 12th are getting approval.

The way the date field was designed in the application form was not friendly or helpful to applicants. On the field where you get asked to choose date you established ur business, I couldn't be patient to navigate backwards to 2013 when I started my biz so I just chose April 2020 for convenience.

Now, thinking about it, the covid19 loan was to help established businesses who were affected by the pandemic, not newly established businesses which, going by the date I had input was a new business created during the pandemic.

I don't know if this is a criteria for certain, so I want to ask the house if anyone who has been approved or paid input their business creation date within this year? Did u have ur business created this year (what you entered in the form) March - June and got approval?
Pls answer so we can disprove or affirm this theory.

Others can contribute what they think might be causing no approval for some of us. I know some who didn't use either TIN or CAC also got sme approval. I'm sick of seeing "bvn doesn't exist" all the time.

Leave story oGA, if dem later approve you, congrats, if not, move on. It has nothing about any mistake. There is no really a strict condition or scrutiny attached to the loan approval. The approvals only come randomly.

I have seen people who applied for both SME and household and got approved; only that one will be approved, not both.

That you've not got approved doesn't mean you did anything wrong, that you later get approved while some are yet to be approved doesn't mean you did anything right than the unapproved.

Your definition of competence is shameful bro. Same NIRSAL that wouldn't bother to reply your emails and DMs even if you call send a million mails?

Please upgrade your definition of competence. I called GTBank 1am last month to report a fraud case and I was attended to in less than 5 minutes. That's the meaning of competence. Compare NIRSAL Twitter page to a regular Commercial bank and you would see the difference.

That you got paid 4 months after submitting your application is not an ideal way of defining competence. Majority of these mobile banking and loan app will disburse your loan in 3-7 days. That's the meaning of competence sir.

Disbursing loan 4 months after submitting an application is HARDSHIP. Leaving the early birds behind without a reasonable response while some late applicants have already gotten paid is INCOMPETENCE.

Do not be afraid to speak that which is in your mind. NIRSAL MFB is a highly incompetent bank. This is not an ideal way of treating your customers or prospective customers but I get we are used to a hard way of living. Na loan we apply for, we no kill person.

The way your competent GTB staff are treating people(their customers) especially during this covid 19 era when there is need to visit their branches is your definition of competence

If NIRSAL had half the number of customers GTBank deal with on a daily basis, the CEO of NIRSAL would probably have gone m.ad due to pressure and overwhelming stress.

You can defend the almighty NIRSAL all you want. It doesn't change the facts. The microfinance bank was not prepared to take on this kind of task, hence that explains why someone recommended a more competent bank.

Go and read about the frustration of AGSMEIS, NYIF, and Covid19 loan applicants.

6 months after submitting an application, you're still getting BVN does not exist sh!t. Please which day will the BVN exist? 4 months after submitting NYIF, there are rumours that early applicants have been played, a lot of data has gone missing and people are just hanging on to fruitless hope. Even the Minister of Youth is confused.

It is okay to be angry at Nirsal because your application has been on hold for months now, just as many people, but you can't argue that any of these commercial banks get this same amount of loan applications Nirsal has gotten in this short period. Do you know the number of Agmesis and covid19 loan applicants alone? They even create an acct number for you without visiting their bank, how many commercial banks effortlessly do that for you?

I'm not holding any brief for nirsal here but your arguement is flawed.

The commercial banks handling this loan will have made the loan only accessible to the elites and the rich, and probably few ordinary Nigerians.

Bro, banking has evolved. I have an account with VBank, even though I've never been physically present at the bank. I upgraded my account on the app, submitted my IDs, Passport, and Utility bill all on the app. All these are automated processes. I check my account balance, recharge airtime, and subscribe pay tv on VBank's WhatsApp platform with no human face.

CBN has made this loan application so easy by lifting heavy criteria such as collateral and guarantors. There is simply no known, reasonable criteria, or approval process to this loan than a click of the button. This is a fact as people who aren't ideally qualified for a loan due to outstanding loans have been paid. This is why even people with account limits of 50k have been credited 500k-1m.

I get the money may not go round, hence, the random selection but does that explains the failure to reply mails, DMs, messages, etc?

We can give them a pass mark for been an "outstanding" public institution, but in the world of modern banking where bigger banks with bigger problems receive awards, NIRSAL MFB would NEVER quality for a customer service award. NIRSAL's most recent posts on Twitter are dated October, and 4th December. Today is 18th bro.

I can't say about mail or message replies as I onlt call them.

As for disbursement or approvals, commercial banks can't do better. Nirsal can only approve or disburse based on the amount of money on ground. The number of applicants are quite much. The whole funds for covid loan have been increased like 2-3 times now, meaning the applications are unexpected and surpass the initial budgeted amount.

If anyone gets approved and paid eventually, fine and congrats, if not, we move. Nirsal can't print money and approve every applications because it wants to please everyone.

For those complaining about nirsal..the institution was just an executional agent.the process of this loan has been duly stated that it passes through cbn. Has anybody ever reason that some set of people actually did npower and some related program where BVN were collected and lodge into fg platform. I guess the moment ur BVN shows on CBN platform. It's calls for delay and scrutiny. Guess u should all be patient..just my tot though

it is not the responsibility of NIRSAL to approve your loan neither did you apply through NIRSAL. CBN is settled with the responsibility of approving your covid19 loan and send to NIRSAL for payment. don't disturb NIRSAL for approval, but if approved then you have a right to criticize NIRSAL.
on competency, making call to customer care is not enough to say commercial bank staff are more competent than NIRSAL. just apply for loan in commercial bank and see if they are competent or not
