How Can The Number Of Illegal Guns In Circulation Be Reduced by 9jatriot(m): 12:33pm On Dec 18, 2020 |
The number of guns in wrong hands is alarming and is making the insecurity level in the country at an all time high. Kidnapping has now become the order of the day and if the trends is not immediately stopped then knowing how we overdo things we will not be too far from looking like Somalia. Guns in the country should be mopped up, documented and placed back in the hands of our security agencies (I don't know why they destroy guns recovered). The question is how can this be achieved? 1 Like |

it is not possible to gather guns in wrong hand, because that is the business of some individuals |

9jatriot: You are a typical African who has despotic blood and tendency in him\her. It is safe to say you sounded very ignorant of the fact. How did you come about the number of illegal guns in circulation among Nigerians in Nigeria? It is unfortunate you made a statement of fact based on silly assumption. Nigeria should liberalize the legal ownership of guns in Nigeria so the civilian can defend themselves. With the silly ban on civilian ownership of gun in place, it opens the door for only criminals to have guns. 6 Likes 1 Share |

What makes Gun legal and Illegal? |
Re: How Can The Number Of Illegal Guns In Circulation Be Reduced by 9jatriot(m): 12:59pm On Dec 18, 2020 |
The UK and many civilized nations do not allow citizens carry arms, US is the only major country that allows that and they are not the only country in the world, okay? Lets even assume they liberalized guns, as many childish people wish, how many can you gun down when up to 10 gang members come at you? I bet you before you even raise up your gun, you would be dead already. Dedetwo: 1 Like |

98% of all illegal guns in Nigeria are owned by herdsmen. To stop this, chase them all away to futa Jalon where they came from. Cc: arrewa 2 Likes |

9jatriot: Did I not write you sound typically an African? Please clarify the fact of carrying and owning a gun. I know for sure in US, a person can own and wear a gun depending on jurisdictions. Also I am aware of the UK government's guide on gun-licensing law which allows people to own guns on certain merits. The second bolded sentence pitifully defined you as a dumbass liberal who will first call people names when there is no need for it. I do not think that wise robbers would want to engage any street where almost the residents are parked with serious heat. In addition, I do not think 10 gang of armed robbers will even dream to hijack a luxurious bus of 38 passengers in which 20 passengers plus driver and conductor were loaded with hot metallic jackets. Even the police will be wise to keep a safe distance in such as situation. 3 Likes |

Dedetwo:You're right on point. Legalizing guns will put in check most criminal tendencies and abuses. Most countries where gun laws are less are safer than Nigeria. The reason for this is very simple. That person who wants to attack you after weighing the chances against a prey with equally lethal sting will back down. This will bring the society to equilibrium. The same OP calling for mopping up guns have NEVER spoke like this all the while terrorist fulani militia were walking openly with fully loaded AK47s. We know what he has in mind. 1 Like |

You still sound childish, after watching a few American films and then reading up a little about the 2nd amendment and gbam u become an authority on the right to bear arms. Apart from the US, tell me the other countries of the world that allow for the rights for everyone to carry arms. Incase you also do not know, there are more than 200 countries in the world. So I expect you to give me up to 25% of countries that allow for guns. This topic is however that rightnow there is no law that allows citizens to carry and so anyone who carries one illegally should not be allowed, so how do we mop it up. If you want to create a thread on why citizens a law should be made for people to bear arms, do create one. Dedetwo: |

Are they supposed to have guns, is this not part of the problem I am talking about? Too many guns in wrong hands, which is leading to an increase in insecurity, except you guys are enjoying it. I also wonder why the increase is happening almost same time as SARS was disbanded. Yujin: |

Re: How Can The Number Of Illegal Guns In Circulation Be Reduced by 9jatriot(m): 6:20am On Jun 02, 2021 |
Of course the Fulanis or any civilians for that matter have no right to bear arms. Sir, I do not have what it takes to lead the force so I will pass immortal2: |

9jatriot: We dont trust the Fulanis with such a task. The problems we have is that most youths today think that they do not have what it takes to lead. Buhari was a stark Fulani illiterate, yet he lead the country during his youth. |

9jatriot: I love spending time cracking my brain to look for solutions to problem and I have looked at how to mop up arms and dislodge all the bandit/Militia post Buhari govt and the only solution I could come up with will cost between 3-5 billion dollars and will require even hiring upto 3 very good private mercenary companies from Australia, South Africa and Russia to support our troops in this ardous task I presume will take about 5 years to complete.....the problem Buhari and his cohorts have caused is one of the biggest human insecurity challenge in history |

Good to know someone is thinking along those lines too. This amount of money you have mentioned here will get the politicians salivating again and you know they will create another contract and the moping up will never be completed. How about ensuring no new ones enter the country and get to such wrong hands and then blocking all flow of bullets, at least a gun without a bullet is useless, right? I don't know what lalastilala thinks sha FarahAideed: |
