MyBankticket for GTB process is really simple. On your online banking platform, go to download statement. There is the option to send statement to embassy. A list of embassies are there including Canada. When you click Canada you have options to select what type of visa you are applying for and whether you are the Applicant, sponsor or guarantor.
Once you are done they send the ticket to your email that is attached to the account. You can download the ticket and attach to your application. Sometimes the email may delay but on the occasions I have used it- both the Applicant and Sponsor, it eventually dropped.

Hello Justwise,

Requiremnts for the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) Stream

The Nigeria Student Express (NSE) for Canadian study permit specifically designed for Nigerians has recently been launched by IRCC with the processing duration of "20 days" against regular processing time. For the Proof of English Language Proficiency Test, you may decide to opt for either the General or Academic IELTS.

The new study permit application stream is similar with the Student Direct Stream (SDS) for selected countries like India, Senegal, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam but with a tweak in the application requirements against the NSE. The advantage is the fast visa processing. At least, based on current observation of writing this post.

The eligible Nigerian applicants intending to apply through the NSE must meet the following requirements:

1. Apply online

2. Be a Nigerian citizen or legally reside in Nigeria

3. Have a valid admission letter from a Designated Learning Institution in Canada for a Bachelor's, Master's, Ph.D or PGD/C programs

4. Must reside outside when applying

5. Must submit a "MyBankStatement No. & Ticket Password" of $30,000 CAD of at least 6 months with a 12 months banking history

6. Have a Certificat d'acceptation du Québec (CAQ) – Only applicable to students going to Quebec

7. Undergo an upfront medical examination

8. Have a score of at least 6 in each band of Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking or at least CLB 7 in Test d'evaluation de Francais (TEF) in each band.

N.B: you can either decide to opt for the Regular processing method or the NSE, whichever is your preference.

All the best

Goodluck to all TRV applicants in this new thread. I started with the previous thread from Nigeria and now I'm in Canada. May it be the same for you.

Remember that approval is not by how many things you submit or how excellent your application documents are. It's mostly a game of luck, who the VO is, "divine grace", and doing the right things. Always keep things simple if you can. Don't appear too desperate by overdoing things and don't be too laid back by not submitting the essential documents.

Before you ask questions, do a simple search on Google and add Nairaland to the end of the search query so that you can see if the question has been answered before. If you need further clarification after that, you can then ask. Remember that nobody is mandated to answer any question here. We are all partners in progress, so don't feel angry if your question goes unanswered. Just ask again and do so politely. Before I became active here, I had read almost all the pages from parts 13-16. I also advise others to do same and by the time you're done, you would know so much about the entire process and could even be an agent if you want.

Lord weave this thread with good tidings, with goodness and mercy, with success, approvals, next levels and above all your will for each and every one of us on this journey in Jesus name Amen.

Please what's the process for applying with a special needs child. What's the medical examination and when is medical passed? Does it affect the study permit approval? She doesn't want to leave her son behind.

More testimonies to come in Jesus name.

For Canada study visa, you have to show proof of your first year tuition and 10,000CAD for your living expenses. Unfortunately, 1 million Naira which is equivalent to 3,150CAD is insufficient to embark on this project. Your best decision is to look out for other cheaper European countries.

It will end in praise.

You can get a sponsor to cover for your studies in Canada. However, she should endeavour to show commitment in your studies by paying part of your tuition to the institution in Canada. More so, include relevant documents to establish strong proof of relationship with her.

I have admissions in cape breton university and Georgian college. Considering the deadline of tuition deposit of Georgian, 2500 CAD in jan 21, i may not be able to meet up. Even if i try to meet up, I may not have enough time to get the rest of the tuition fee and POF together before deadline. Also heard it's hard getting PR in ON.
Cape breton would have been my best shot as it gives me options of starting in sept 2021, Jan 2022 or April 2022. Also, heard it is easy getting PR in the Atlantic province. But I dont really see people going to that school from here. Hope its a good school and i won't have issue with VO if i apply for Study permit.
Lastly, i am also looking for Master programs that can give me funding, i found a school, i sent an email to potential supervisor like 2 weeks now, no response. Though it is not part of the department admission requirements to get a potential supervisor before applying. Do you think it is still wise to apply to?
Thank you

You're not travelling as a student so I really don't know what they'll ask of you. However, for most students, they ask for proof of enrollment, admission letter, ArriveCAN slip, and CAQ (at POE). It is a very straightforward process.

Ethiopian Airlines fly from Lagos to Addis Ababa and then you'll go to Dublin before reaching Toronto. Flight time is around 20 hours in total.
