Farmers and herds men clashes actually skyrocketed but that is because there is no political will at all levels of government to even talk about it talk more of attempting to solve the crisis and it is because majority of the herdsmen actually work for the rich and powerful in our society. Most of the cattles do not belong to the herdsmen. Those who we look up to to help solve it actually owns the cattles destroying our livelihood and they are simply protecting their investment.

Compared to the years of "tactical manurvering" by the army while Bokoharam kept on capturing territories, we can actually say that the Bokoharam crisis has greatly improved. The terrorist shy away from direct confrontation with the military especially where there is a strong garrison and now focus on soft targets and ambush on military patrol teams. The last time they confronted the military in mongunno months ago. It may be because of the raining seasons Sha but still doesn't change the fact that the frequency of such large scale attacks have greatly reduced. It is shameful that we are being defensive though.
Kidnapping is same as before, the kidnappers just moved out of Kogi state to Kaduna and there is more extensive media coverage than before. But banditry has been treated with recklessness and it is far worse than it used to be.

The issue of banditry and kidnapping in north west is likely to get worse. There is no magic anyone will perform because so many activities of their leaders, lifestyle of the people, illiteracy, poverty, Almagiri, etc only favour more kidnapping/banditry activities.

People depend on security agencies for help but the truth is they will only arrive after the incident. The only improvement we will see from the north In a long time is how military and other agencies respond to threat.

Now let's add the fact that their communities are full of ignorant people leaving law to be made by illiterate that think they know everything because have very little islamic knowledge.

Or imagine the issue of zamfara where Ex-governor so empowered vigilante group with weapons and power without caution. They tasted power and knew they can do and undo without anyone disturbing them. By the time media started covering their activities it was already too late.

So many unspeakable activities happen within the northern communities that won't let banditry/kidnapping go away easily. You can even write a book about them.

Have seen the video and its almost a month old now, someone even said something about it last week.
The soldiers and CJTF in the video ran into an ambush and they where patrolling with bikes. The incident is quite unfortunate and stuff's like this will keep on happening until our soldiers get the right tool to persecute this war.
The terrorist knows the terrain well and are very skillful laying ambush on any patrol, it will always be a suicide mission if you're on soft skinned vehicle or bykes in the N.E front lines.

OFF TOPIC : militias from Hashd Al-Shaabi carried-out their largest ever rocket attack at the GreenZone of Baghdad, Iraq among these eleven have hit the residential area of US Embassy.
we can see the USMC's C-RAM air defense system trying to shot-down some of the rockets.

IPOB make a lot of a aggressive noise and use threatening tactics to pursue thier agenda. And any Igbo who opposes them becomes an enemy. That makes you a target for thier model illiterate supporters.

I do not see up to 1% of the Igbo elite giving support to IPOB. Even the general populace is not completely supportive.

In addition huge amounts of assumptive nonsense. The South South is not part of Biafra, that Includes, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Cross River. That makes what's left of the Biafra to Landlocked that in itself makes its socio-economic viability questionable.

These states with a duplicity of minority tribes, will not with their eyes open and agree to subject themselves to second class citizenship under a Igbo nation and have thier oil resources distributed to new masters from the East.

It reminds me of the misguided and disinformation led Brexit that has seen the UK leave the European union. Very much to great detriment to the UK.

Restructuring is not the problem of Nigeria but bad governance.

You're right about the elite not supporting NK, but you're wrong about the general populace not supporting him. With what I use my eyes to see in the south east, he has a lot of followers.

There is this corper I know serving in NDA, when IPOB was celebrating an anniversary, he uploaded IPOB flag on his profile pic and status.
