Na government or buhari cause electrical fault. Nigerians should rather embrace fire alarm in building incase of fire incident

A lot of houses built these days have no emergency exit. We are focused on preventing burglars, while forgetting disasters.
.
It's high time we started training people around us on first aid, response to fire incidents and emergency numbers to call.
.
While these might not have helped save these people, it can save someone else.
God bless you. U de watch American film well well, na for de windows Dem de put de ladders

I’ll keep saying this, Africans let’s build or rent homes with fire escape route in mind. In the US, the windows have a mesh that comes off and one can jump off. The ceiling also opens up providing an escape route. All these metal bars on windows don’t help matters Incase of a fire outbreak.Plan your house with an escape route in mind to increase the chances of survival. So sad. R.I.P!

Such a painful lost...may her soul RIP.
This is one of the reasons everyone needs life insurance...it's unfortunate many 're yet to embrace insurance in this part of the world. Truth to be told, death is inevitable...why not give yourself, children or extended family life insurance cover, education insurance, home insurance, fire/burglary, health insurance, comprehensive/third party motor insurance, marine insurance, international travel insurance et,c to protect you from loosing all you laboured for to those who doesn't deserve it as well as protecting you against old age or unforseen circumstances.

A medical doctor Ijeoma Idaresit and her daughters have died in a fire accident at their home in Parkview, Ikoyi, Lagos, Igbere TV reports.

Fire broke out in the house on December 13 following an electrical fault.

Idaresit was until her death the conference director at Postpartum Support Network Africa.

A friend of the deceased Olatoun Gabi-Williams, in a tribute posted on Facebook, alleged that the Lagos State Fire Service arrived late.

He wrote,

However, a spokesman for the Lagos State Fire Service Ahmodu Shakiru said the fire service could not be blamed for the incident.

He said: “That is the usual accusation, but the point is that we are not yet operating digital so, we rely on public information and time of response is a factor of many things from who discovered the emergency and what action was taken and what time the alarm is raised.”

Lagos traffic won't even allow them arrive early. We should spend more on safety devices. Smoke Detector with retrofitted water pipes.

Something is wrong somewhere. The story is not adding up.There is an unseen human disaster hand that cause the death. There is need for investigation into the matter.

They don't even have smoke detectors in their houses to alert them of the fire early before it engulfs the whole house.

This is just too depressing. Ijeoma was in the same set as me in Corona. Haven't seen her in over 20 years. How can such an exclusive area like Park view not have proper fire exits? How can a place like Park view not have proper fire service? How can that area not have any fire extinguishers? People pay thousands of dollars to live in Ikoyi with no decent roads to show for it. Too many questions to be asked.

The rich need to realize that if they don't join hands in fixing this country, discourage their politician fathers and mothers from continually stealing from the country, stay put in Nigeria and vote when necessary, or contribute their intellectual powers to the growth of the country, they too will eventually be consumed by the fire of inefficiencies, corruption, and incompetence Nigerian is known for.
