Share reconstruction. 4 to 1

If you have 1000units, you will get 250units after reconstruction.
1000/4= 250

Now,
The nominal price will be N2 instead of 0.50k

Calculate your risk.

1000 x N1(current price)= 1000

250 x N2(new price)= N500
When is the reconstruction?

I understand what you mean now. In addition, the new price will now be 4 times the old price. Every other thing is correct as you have stated them.
You got the deal

I don’t know who cares to hear this.
Oil has started falling.
Europe is technically closing it’s borders again.
The market will react.
Trade with caution.

Yes Sir.
OBAGADAFFI:

Are you implying the Market price will be automatically multiplied by four after reconstruction?

I know the nominal price will be multiplied by four, from 0.50k to N2.

Well, I hope your prediction is correct, it is good news for us all.

See the deceptive nature of these guyz. Everyone mentioning caution and awareness of factual negative trends is bad and a moniker of The Great Octopus. Yet those blindly leading others to risk hard earned capital in a bearish market and preaching limitless Bull are the good guyz.

Have you guyz no decency undecided

You should have wait for market to close before the thanks. As investors we should always be close to both local and international news, to help our business. The news around the world currently didn't favour the market.

How some folks spin logical arguments from being an avenue to exchange rational ideas into hyper-emotional dogfights where absolutely nothing is learned baffles me to no end.
They are still the ones who wonder why people with valuable contributions sparingly visit the forum.
Like MLK said,Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

They will not listen. Any discerning person knows that there's going to be fire in katanga. Covid 2nd wave, lockdowns in many countries, new wicked Covid strain in UK, Shut off of economy by other countries, flights to UK are being cancelled all over the world, falling oil prices, sleeping Nigerian leadership, etc. The signs are scare and the bears will surely have a field season!

The share closed yesterday with N2.20.
so multiple 7 by the closing price 2.20 it will be N15.4.
for every 7 shares you get additional 17shares making 24shares.
when you divide N15.40k by the new alloted shares 24, it will give 64k.
(15.4/24=.64k) this is how they arrived at 64k. this is the first leg of the reconstruction.

if you bought at N2.20, at that price 7 shares worth N15.4.
after the first leg of the reconstruction, you had 24shares at 64k each.
At today prices N1.01, the 24shares worth N24.24.
that is 57.40% gain from N2.20
the second leg of the reconstruction is in the ratio of 4:1, that is 4shares will be merge into 1share.
so divide the 24shares by 4 will give you 6shares.
what will be the price of the share after the second leg, assuming the final price was today price N1.01, it will be 24.24/6 = N4.04.

Nigerians have a way of burying their heads in the sand. Every rational folks should know that the 2nd wave Covid, the discovery of new more dangerous Covid strain in Uk, the new lockdowns, etc will lead to a fall in oil prices which will deplete our forex, further weaken our recession deep economy at a time CBN has lost focus and usher in vicious bears in NSE. Enough is enough!

Does investors gain anything extra apart from the stock value, when a company is buying back their shares?
Why was there so much bid without offer on dangcem early this morning?

after the buy back, the total number of units available will be less by 10%. This means they will be dividing the dividend amount by less units of shares. Dividend will be more. Also, as you must have witnessed today, price will also jump as the forces of demand and supply will set in. Less people interested in selling and so buyers tempting sellers with higher price.

Its very important to be very careful at this time, else one's fingers will be burnt as we expect similar trend tomorrow

Yes, if all things remain equal, investors will gain in the event of a share buyback. First, it reduces the number of outstanding shares thereby pushing up the investors stake in the company. Since the number of outstanding shares are reduced, it means that the earnings per share will increase which may mean increases return dividend) to shareholders.
