FG, please close the air border now or risk unprecedented spike in COVID-19 cases. In other matter: Those people advertising 1G data for #270, may likely not make heaven. |

Travel ban for what? As it's time for Christians to celebrate their Christmas now, they want to bring travel ban, mean while during their Islamic sallah times there was no travel ban. It can't work for them. Very demonic set of people! Let God clear them off the earth! |

lexy2014: They do but EU citizens and UK citizens too have been circumventing it by going to USA and other countries and route back to their destination countries in EU. Most Nigerians can't afford to do that due to visa protocols. If you do copy copy and ban immediately, it is your own citizens you are trapping in a country with the plaque. Even countries like USA and China will not respond in same way due to this kind of obvious disparity. 1 Like |

This was how we were Dilly dalling in February until an Italian brought the virus into the country. Now is time to take decisive measures by halting all forms of travel into the country or take serious measures at the point of entry to ensure nobody with the new strain comes into the country. Not when it enters, the poor masses are now made to suffer Lock down. By the way, the second wave is about the new strain which is not yet in Nigeria but how come we are having a resurgence in high figures of the first strain. Or are we just doing follow follow. 1 Like |

Vaughanlanrewaj: No thats not how it works... Coming from the perspective of violated visas, if an individual was caught in a lockdown and can provide proof of a return ticket to his home country, provisions can be made for visa extensions (especially the UK) due to covid19. Secondly provided there is a proof of return the government supports the welfare of such stuck individuals (as they did in the earlier lockdowns to individuals who could not return to their respective destinations). Thirdly Airlines also assist in such situations (like they did earlier) Nigeria's embassy would not be dealing with the welfare of stuck travellers (as they never have) ... Bottom line the Government is displaying gross incompetency by being slow to address this emergency, waiting till there's a heavy arrival of people from the UK due to Christmas holidays increasing transmission risks of this new covid strain, before erecting control measures. Don't you just love Nigeria? |

With due respect Sir, this is not the time to keep talking and talking it is a time to be serious and take action. Its already in Nigeria some top officials are quarantine only at home. Ban flights from UK now until its brought under control |
