Read my post again, if he beat her unjustly he would collect back, but if she was wrong by trying to fight him first it's none of my business.

I won't even try to fight the man I can only call the police to arrest him, if she can't divorce such a man it's not my business

Do you understand English at all?

Long and short of "my rant" is women need to be held accountable for their actions. Also, just because you Angelfrost can accept abuse and assaults both physical and verbally from women does not mean other men should. It also does not make you a "real man", rather it makes you victim. i can only imagine the abuse and assault you have had to endure, whilst you kept telling yourself you're a real man.

Brother, why all the heat??!... My definition stands sir. You don't have to like it, same way I respect your opinion (unnecessarily lengthy tho) without accepting a single word of it! grin

At the bold above, you have clearly shown the kind of individual you are. You obviously have way too much baggage within your soul! You need to breathe... Exhale out some of that anger before it chokes you.

The summary is below:

Real men don't beat up women except in self defense (Look this up). A man who resorts easily to violence because he is verbally insulted or feels easily emasculated by mere words needs serious anger management training. That man is not a real man!!!

I don't need you to accept, validate, or endorse this simple and universally accepted statement... You are at liberty to hold on to your ego! This is beyond what you find tasteful or distasteful. This is the real world.

Go lay even one finger on a woman who verbally abuses or lashes you from now till tomorrow, lemme see if you won't suffer the worst the law has to offer! Cheers!!!

You don't know me, or what I have done, or quite capable of doing... So, don't make assumptions or dish out worn out theories. Been there, done it all.

I move with real men, strong even dangerous individuals... We never lay even a finger on a woman!!! Domestic violence is the unerring trait of very weak and despicable men! Talking to them is okay, but sometimes, breaking a few bones gets them better educated! cool
I don't know you..
Do you know the man?

He's right though. You are ranting.

You keep mentioning physical abuse and not once did he include that. Verbal abuse does not mean physical abuse. Stop confusing the two . If someone shouts at you, hitting them isn't it. If they hit you, then you get to hit back. Hence his 'except in self defense' line.

Edit your comment and then you'd see your error

He is a child... Leave him be. He will eventually outgrow his anger issues (Hopefully)! cool

Just so you understand, you keep saying you will let anyone put hands on your sister. Even if the person has a good reason to do so. That means you will beat up your wife if you believe you have a good reason. Who thinks like that? Under NO circumstance should any partner put hands on each other. No circumstance.

Again you are silent on the actions of the woman and downplaying verbal abuse/assault. A woman that resorts to verbal abuse needs serious psychological help. But of course you would never admit it would you?

Every reasonable inlaw respects his brother, sister, main/mother-in-law... there4 at d sighting any of his inlaws, he would maintain/pretend as if nothing happened. on that single respect, you take him out to chart outside d case to wave away his mine at the moment till u find out 4rm ur sister/daughter wat transpired b4 action. (i.e, u must hold ur temperament.)

What exactly would you like to hear other than the truth??!... Violence, physical violence should never be visited upon anyone for being verbally abusive, especially someone of inferior strength! There is no law anywhere in a civilized society that will back the physical aggressor, not a damn one. What else do you want to hear??! That it is okay for a man to go physical on a woman all because she verbally abused him??! That it is okay or lawful??!

A sassy woman can best be tamed by superior sass... That, or you simply walk away if you are the intolerant or violent type. In a marriage, I would advocate divorce where both parties can't be compatible. That is Manhood 101!

So, I repeat my query... What is all your argument about??! Where exactly do you stand??! That domestic violence is the way to tame or vent anger and frustration at an annoying, insulting, and abusive female partner??!

Indeed, Nairaland has become a gathering of ill-bred kids who know nothing about life!

What I would like to read, is you condemning verbal abuse from women.
What I would like to read, is you calling for women to be held accountable for their actions, instead defending them.
What I would like to read is you condemning and renouncing the lies you've been telling yourself about women.(women are weak, women are like that because they can't control themselves)

In fact While verbal abuse doesn’t leave physical scars, the emotional trauma can be severe and long-lasting.
So it's very annoying that you tiptoe around it and claim women that engage in such behaviours are just being women.

Also, men respond differently to verbal/physical abuse from women. So your real men mantra works only for you, it won't work for all men.

I can never hit someone, even if the person slaps me I always avoid fights. Is wife not frustrating a times?

Let me tell u fact, character wise, woman has 75% contribution to make her marriage work, I will indulge you to take this bitter truth to ur husband house, if you want to have peace and not ready for married and remarried.

Nobody said that a wife can never be frustrating. The point being made is that a husband is never justified to use a belt on his wife. And in front of the children. SMH. According to your logic a wife can pour boiling water on her husband in his sleep because frustration ... See the way you reason.

You are not in the position to teach me about marriage. You have disqualified yourself by justifying domestic brutality. It's your kind who have dysfunctional families.

I understand how women are... She must have said or done something that triggered this action. But not withstanding he should not have reacted whatsoever in this manner.
A wise man once said, "A strong man is not the one who can make use of his fist when he is a critical situation but the one who knows how control his anger/feelings when he finds himself in a critical situation".
Anyway if anyone tries this with my sister lasan, we'll have a talk about it as man to man

will just shut up and stop this nonsense jare.. look if someone’s mother slaps me without me doing no wrong , I swear to almighty that created me, I will slap her till she looses her sight .. so because a woman is an elderly person she should not have sense ? Am I not someone’s pikin too? I am a peace maker but not dumb or stupid. And if the woman’s son picks a fight with me, I will calculate fast to determine if I can beat him or not.. if yes I’ll make sure I leave him with enough bruise he will leave to show his children.. if no, I’ll pay for his beating ..

If my mama slaps someone else son just for the sake of ‘ I am a woman and I’m old’ honestly I’ll tell her sorry and we will go home in peace , provided she’s wrong .. and if she was right and I see the opponent is more powerful and influential than us, then I’ll choose to fight another day ..

Stop bringing spirituality to physical battle.. stop spoiling Nigeria .. of all the respect we Dey give elders and spirit we Dey worship , what have we achieved as country ? Don’t quote me if you have nothing reasonable to say .. good day
