Robert Budd Dwyer called a news conference in the Pennsylvania state capital before he killed himself in front of the reporters with a revolver. At the conference, Dwyer gave his three staffers each an envelope, one containing a suicide note for his wife, an organ donor card and a letter addressed to then-Pennsylvania Governor Bob Casey and then proceeded to pull the gun out of the envelope, opened his mouth and pulled the trigger. NB not advisable but sadists can view this all live of YouTube and best gore. 6 Likes 1 Share

1997 Heavens Gate Suicide Following an anonymous letter, police arrived at Rancho Santa Fe, California, and discovered 39 victims of a mass suicide. The deceased–21 women and 18 men of varying ages–were all found lying peaceably in matching dark clothes and Nike sneakers and had no noticeable signs of blood or trauma. It turned out, they all were members of the “Heaven’s Gate” cult that stated the suicide would allow them to leave their bodily “containers” and enter an alien spacecraft hidden behind the Hale-Bopp comet. 7 Likes 1 Share

Spontaneous Human Combustion Spontaneous human scary stories combustion occurs when a fire starts within the body of the victim. In December 1966, the remains of the body of 92-year-old Dr. J. Irving Bentley was discovered in his Pennsylvania home by a meter reader. Dr. Bentley’s leg and slippered foot were found while the rest of his body had been burned to ashes from an internal chemical reaction. Probably, the scariest picture taken ever. In other words , like the big bang ,we go also blow up anytime . 2 Likes 1 Share

Real-Life vampire Loana The Bloodthirster A photo of Loana the “Bloodthirster” that was believed to have died in 1909 as she drunk her own blood. The 27-year-old spent two days drinking continually from a Communion Glass and her cause of death was ruled “ritual suicide” by “purposeful ingesting of large quantities of her own blood”. 3 Likes 1 Share

TO WHO IT MAY CONCERN (All of US) First off, I don't know if this is the right place to post at all. But this really clicked with me and made me change perspective on my depression problem and made me feel a lot better so I wanted to share it. I've always felt like I was not in my place when I was happy, something was off. For some reason I felt better sad. There was something in me that didn't fully wanted to be happy. And I thought that it was a problem. It was probably from all that sad music I was listening to right? I must be some kind of little bitch emo poser edgy millennial kind of motherfucker and I just don't want to admit it to myself. And then I randomly stumbled upon this Quora post, and it really changed the way I see things. It explained perfectly the things I was feeling without being able to put words on it. So here you go: Since sadness in my eyes has a lot of power I want to start by saying: I like being sad too … why? It’s an extremely powerful emotion! When I got depressed for the first time I was surprised by how powerful it was, the sadness I felt. More powerful than any joy, or love, or anything else I had felt before. It took over every part of me and left me feeling empty and calm, something I rather enjoyed, since being happy and successful and so on so forth, felt overwhelming and more of an effort than a place I’d like to stay. Maybe all that is because of a hard childhood or difficult family, I don’t know. But sadness felt like truth and joy felt like the biggest lie on earth … I read through the answers and it took hard that almost every single person said that you only like it because you’re used to it and even though that MIGHT be true, I certainly don’t think that is the only reason to like sadness or any other negative emotion. I have tried liking joy and excitement and all that shit, but sadness and (emotional) pain really resonates with me. To make it simple I see it like this: I’d rather be a sad person learning and always being pushed to the next place, than being a blindly happy person who always tries to keep it up. I’ve had so much clarity from moments of despair, I have had some of my strongest feelings of freedom after a good long cry or panic. Without all the pain I have been through, I wouldn’t experience joy like I do today, my eyes wouldn’t water when there is beauty, love or just a glimpse of hope somewhere. Sadness has made me a more honest person and given me a life of contrast, which I wouldn’t give up, not even for a constant smile and a happy life. I am not saying, go ahead and be sad all your life because it is great, all I want to point out is that pain and sadness isn’t the enemy, in a balanced life, it might be what gives you freedom, clarity and reason to keep going, not only when things are great! Hope it helps! 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Jonestown Massacre “Jonestown” was the informal name for the Peoples Temple Agricultural Project formed by the Peoples Temple, an American religious organization under the leadership of Jim Jones, in northwestern Guyana. Formed in Indianapolis, Indiana, during the mid-1950s, Jonestown was formed as a socialist utopia. Alas in 1978, Jim Jones led hundreds of his followers in a mass murder-suicide at their agricultural commune. 909 people ingested a poison-laced punch, a third of those being children. 4 Likes 1 Share

Psychological care has come a long way in the last 150 years. There is a reason, however, why so many haunted houses have asylum themes. Sure, those who were placed there had their own inner demons to deal with, but the people who were in charge of “caring” for them did some pretty sinister things themselves. Take this creepy photo for example. Looks like something you’d see in POW camp, not a mental health facility. 2 Likes 2 Shares

Third Wheel Some photobombs are creepier than others. Just look at this one. When the picture was taken, nobody saw the presence of that clingy friend on the right. It was until the film was developed—yes, film developing was a real thing— that its presence emerged. Remind me to never vacation in … wherever this photo was taken! 4 Likes 1 Share

Victoria sweetheart If you look at family photos from the Victorian era, you might not realize that many of those featured are actually dead. Not just dead now, but actually dead at the time the picture was taken. Indeed, it was common practice to get pictures with the newly-deceased to have one final memory of them before they were laid to rest. Many of the pictures are done so well that you can’t even tell. This girl here? Totally dead.! Necrophiliacs on here I'll like to meet you though. 6 Likes 1 Share

Baby Monitor If you are a parent, you know the joy and struggle of raising a child. That child is the most precious gift you have ever been given. You can look into her eyes until she falls asleep in your arms. The slightest cry is enough to heighten your senses to levels unknown by your pre-parent self. In fact, we often install video monitors in our children’s room so that we can even keep an eye on them when they are sleeping that deep sleep that only children can muster. Every now and again, you may wake up in the night and take a peek at the monitor to make sure she is fine and all snuggled up, just like little Miriam here who is… HOLY HELL! 4 Likes 1 Share

Carl Großmann was a serial killer who lived in Germany during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The exact nature and extent of his crimes is unknown, he was arrested after his neighbours reported the sound of screams coming from his apartment. When the police entered they found the body of a young woman who had been killed, and Großmann was charged with first degree murder. This was the only body that the police would find, but they also discovered blood stains in his home that suggested at least three other victims. A police report from 1921 states that Großmann confessed to murdering 4 women, however some reports suggest the number of victims could be as high as 50. Neighbours stated that he would regularly have female visitors to his home, however they would not see these visitors leave. There was also a rumour spreading that he was cannibal, and that he was selling the flesh of his victims on the black market during the first world war, passing it off as typical animal meat. It is thought he may have discarded the inedible portions of his victims, as pieces of missing women were discovered in a nearby canal. The reason why the extent of Großmann’s crimes are unknown is because he completed suicide, by hanging himself in his prison cell. 4 Likes 1 Share

The Valentine’s Day Massacre is an unsolved multiple murder that resulted from the gangland culture of the prohibition era. 7 members of the North Side Irish gang were lined up against a wall and executed in a Warehouse in Chicago. The people who perpetrated the crime - who were most likely acting under the directions of notorious gangster Al Capone - have never been identified. What is known is that there were four killers, two were dressed as police officers, and they were seen exiting the warehouse following the shooting. In spite of the fact that there had never been any convictions, the FBI had a number of leads over the years. During the interrogation of a relatively unknown criminal Byron Bolton, he admitted to playing a part in the murders and named accomplices that included a well known hitman that he worked with. However these statements were never acted upon. Two other Cosa Nostra hitmen have also been suspects during the investigation, but again this didn’t result in any conviction. 2 Likes

Serial killer Leonarda Cianciulli was a very superstitious individual. She had experienced 17 pregnancies during her lifetime, 3 of which ended in miscarriage. 10 of her younger children died during childhood, leaving her with four children who she cared for deeply, and who she was willing to protect - no matter what the cost. She had been warned by a fortune teller that she would lose all of her children whenever they were young. She had also been told by a palm reader that in one of her hands lay the prison , and in the other the criminal asylum. Having experienced so many deaths during her lifetime she couldn’t help but heed the warning of the fortune teller and try and come up with a way to protect the children she had left - especially as her favourite son, Giuseppe, was preparing to join the Italian army to fight in the second world war. Cianciulli’s solution was unconventional, she concluded that in order to save her children’s life she would need to carry out human sacrifices. The victims that she chose were three of her neighbours who came to Cianciulli to receive help and have their fortunes told. Her first victim was a spinster searching for a husband, Cianciulli convinced the woman to write to her family telling them she was meeting a potential suitor in Pola. Once these letters were sent Cianciulli fed her a drugged glass of wine before killing her with an ax. She cut the woman’s body into nine parts before draining the blood and using it to bake tea cakes. Her second victim came to Cianciulli searching for a job. Again, she was instructed to write to her family to inform them that she was moving away, this time for employment. Once again the victim was drugged with a glass of wine and murdered with an axe. The final victim was again lured in by a promise of employment, however this time the victim did not write to their family to inform them of a lengthy trip, and her body was instead melted down into soap instead of used to make tea cakes. It was the final victims sister-in-law who pointed the finger at Cianciulli, and she confessed to the three murders. Cianciulli was convicted of the murders, she was sentenced to 30 years in prison, and 3 years in a criminal asylum. NB she used to be pretty . 2 Likes 1 Share
