Spectrum22: make the criterias needed for employment harder. Prospective employees would have two guarantor's (in my case, I stipulates that the guarantor's must be a property owner living within the area,). And they have to come visit my little something.A lawyer or policeman would help in this aspect. If possible, digitalize your inventory and payment so that you can monitor it from wherever you are. And if you notice inconsistencies in your inventory or financial records, deduct it from their account. You don't pay salaries without reviewing the records. The most important advice I can give you is to dedicate more time to your business-unless you would still face this challenges 6 Likes |

Trustme2:It is because you never care to listen, or you believe that you have to prove to everyone that your way to success is the noble part and you won't pay much attention when we are telling you how we got there. You are more interested in the now, I not paying attention when I mention that 5 years ago I started with this through that, not realizing that you don't have to follow through that, because I have done that for you. You never listen bro, you just wanted to do you. |

Spectrum22: If you can hire a manager to oversee the business while he reports to you on daily basis. he will help to mitigate their pilfering, and wasteful habit. I can do that for you, if you don't see changes you can terminate my appointment. let me what you think about my proposal. |

FuckAllTheMODs:Your last sentence is the end result. The Bible says, train up a child in the way he should grow, so that when he is old he will... A new business is a child, you have to nurture and train and mould it to what you want it to become, your business will in turn reward you for all the dedication and commitment. Be patient a little more. 4 Likes |

I started selling tree resin from home late last year. Initially, sells was slow and profit was very low. However I persevered and today, I supply up to 50 tonnes of pure resin to local and foreign companies per week. I am glad I started when I did 1 Like |

Life no easy. I started my grocery/foodstuff biz last yr March 2019 wit #1m tho I had #2.3m at hand n due to covid-19 there was increased sales dis year so I was able to add selling wholesale drinks August dis year. I tink I v made ova #2m in profit, I am frugal to an extent, I don't spend on clothes n stuff but I spend well on food. I tink d things dat v helped me are: 1) Good location. (my store is by a major road close to where I live) 2) I stay in my parents Haus so I don't pay rent. 3) I open everyday even on Sundays even on festive period, since d day I started d biz last yr March I v missed only 2 days of biz n d 3weeks wen I went for camp service last yr august but my dad n sales gal monitored d biz while I was gone. 4) I cut out a lot of expenses, dont use an Android phone, so no subscription, bfre I can subscribe 1k twice every month. 5) Trust nobody wit ur biz, nobody can handle ur biz like u. 6) am gud in d biz because I was born into it, my mom also sells foodstuff/grocery. 7) pipu say it's a woman biz, but I don't care cos I mk over #100k profit every month, I spend over #30k on food every month, I won't say don't listen to pipu cos sometimes they might b right, but think hard bfre u mk a decision wit any step in life, e no easy I swr. Am a graduate, I went for nysc last yr August at kwara, redeployed wit 40k, finish service dis yr July, so allawee helped. wen I started my biz last yr, my net worth was ard #2.3m, currently am worth ova #4m. I shud b worth more Dan dat but because I used ard #2m to buy land n start building 2flats of 3bedroom per unit last yr, d Haus is at lintel level. Right now am using my sis phone to comment. D capital was gotten Tru savings bfre I got admission into d University in 2015 cos I was frugal, I opened my first instant acct 2012, so any money I get I save, u will b amazed wat #50 every day will mk in a yr, invested in t-bills in 2017 wen interest was ard 14% to boost savings. 22 Likes |

I just checked dat my last post on dis site was actually a year ago Dec 24th 2019, feels like yesterday. Time waits for no man. I started wholesale drinks 24th August dis yr, I bought 500pcks of coca cola products ie coke, fanta, sprite @ #875 per one pack total #437500, resell @ #900 per pack to beat competition in area n cos am a newbie in d wholesale drinks biz so i gat introduce myself wit cheap prices, d profit seem low but I calculated dat if I cud sell 500packs per month, d r.o.i is still better Dan t-bills at 14% per annum, since august i v bought d #500 packs 4 times, am currently on fourth stock wic is currently being sold @#1050 per pack cos d festive period but I got d last stock at #925 per pack tho, no discount cos my supplier claim there is scarcity wic is true. I v sold Mr V. Plastic water ard 900 packs too, shud v been more but due to scarcity in dis period. Next year am going bigger. Life no easy, jus think hard, don't waste ur time, n u will find a way out. 9 Likes |
