I handed over my passport, health insurance (Mawista) to the Germany embassy today here in Dubai and would be ready for collection on Monday morning.
I first sent an email for appointment on Sept 11, got a reply Sept 13 with appointment for Oct 7, and a decision mail Nov 3.
The problem is not our nationality but our Nigeria as a place!
It's sad and I pray you get the visa before scheduled exams for Winter 2020. A mate from Vietnam also got approval yesterday after applying in Sept.

You are good to go bro. No need to apply for visa again just show them your student permit and admission letter at the point of entry.

If you are, then that's not supposed to be difficult na.
Just want to know the process because I intend travelling to poland next year.
Would love to know if my Poland visa would suffice or would have to apply for another visa in German embassy Poland.

Has anyone close to you done this same thing..........because from the embassy website they said a residence permit from a schengen zone does not entitle one to enter and begin studies in Germany.. That one still needs to apply for a National Visa(student visa)

You guys are stressing yourself on this German application issue. There are so many countries in this world, don’t waste time on one particular country if the application/ appointment date is not forthcoming.

I began my German application in 2019 when they implemented this category A/B thing. Unfortunately, I was in Category B & never got a date even though I applied in May. Very early as well.

Everybody waka dey different sha but if you want to go on, you can continue but life is too short to be waiting for appointment date.

Now I am in Europe, I am grateful... I am not in Germany but I am happy to be here. One step at a time. My advice is for you to look for other countries, you can be successful elsewhere. If Germany no want you no be by force my brother. Try elsewhere & you will be successful!
