I eventually got one. Please, is this generator (Firman FPG 3800) a good one in terms of KVA, and durability?

What's the KVA?
Thanks!
yes it is a good generator in terms of kva...it's 3.5kva but will run at 3.1kva, it's a long coil...

Pedrollo Submersible Water Pump-single Phase is 3hp / 2.2kw. 230v-50Hz.

original 5 KVA and above generator.

I expect u should ask the hp of the pumping machine not you guessing for him.

Reasons are

Most Bore hole drainers will never use 3hp pumping machine they will always want to cheat on that

There are other brands of submersible pumping machine which some are not reliable and efficient enough.

those two generators are good...if you were comparing sumec firman to this elepaq constant, I would have chosen the sumec...But with this I'll go with the constant... personally speaking tho.
but all the same it depends on how you maintain you engine irrespective of the make.

It can even be once in 6 months, it depends on usage. It's the number of hours thar matters. If you run your gen 10 hours everyday, you'll need to change oil weekly, if it runs 5 hours everyday then once in two weeks, and so on.

I want to buy a 5000kva generator. I want to buy TEC from thermocool but some people are advising against it.
What is your advice?

Was just wondering because you insinuated that inverter ACs like the regular ones demand so much on generators.

Hello gurus,

Please we've had this SUMEC gen that has been serving without issue. I noticed sometime last week when we turned the generator on after 1 or 2mins it will start fluctuating and will eventually go off. If we try to turn it on again it will just sputter without starting unless it is left for about 30mins before it can come on again.

So I decided to call someone to come check it. The guy changed the oil with the Total oil (pix attached). Couldn't remember if that's the exact one we were using for the gen though but he said its suitable. He also brought out the "filter foam" from that black plastic area and washed it.
Gen worked ok for two nights and then the 3rd day we were running it and it suddenly went off. Its almost a week now and the gen wouldn't even come on no mater the number of times we tried pulling it. I also noticed that when you pull the rope it turns very free unlike when you feel a little resistance.
Please what could be the issue. NEPA dey deal with us this days.

First check the spark plug, clean it and ensure the gap is between 0.6-0.8mm. Also, check the oil level if there's enough oil.
