Ghana Union of Traders(GUTA) were mounting pressure on the Government to close down all nigeria shops that have no proper documents and also see to it that nigerians are not permitted in our market space.

The pressure was getting too much for the Government so "he the Minister" had to say something to represent something.

You have no idea the way GUTA wants Government to seive all trading activities with nigeria but sake of ECOWAS treaties the Government is trying everything hard to control GUTA.

We have laws in Ghana that prohibits foreigners from doing menial jobs and also selling in our market areas.

Most nigerians do not have business operating permit.

Also most nigerians trade in fake goods. Some do not pay duties, they smuggle goods through unapproved routes into the country etc.

So GUTA was only serving the interest of Ghanaian traders. If Bubu thinks nigeria is an island so you will close your borders without informing Ghana then they "GUTA" will make things easier for Bubu.
nigerians should trade in their country whereas Ghanaians also stay and trade in Ghana. After all Ghanaians import from so many countries, nigeria doesn't even make it to our Top 8 countries where we import goods from.
