Thanks a lot for your swift response. I tweeted them and they said I couldn't go ahead with the booking as I needed to come along with the card. They have voided the booking already. They said it's a policy ish. Maybe because of where it originated from. I'm trying to get someone from there to help with it. Many thanks again Chocs: |

Thanks so much for your advise. I have taken one of your advises and acting on it already. It's unfortunate that transactions from this side are scrutinised like this. I'm trying to get someone to help with the transaction. The booking has been voided. Thanks again for your help. Akannitommy: |

Hello everyone, I am in the process of applying for an 8 month post graduate certificate with a proposed start date of September 2021. I am married and have a 1 year old son. My sponsor is my dad he is retired but receiving pension. He is paying the tuition for the entire program duration and he will transfer the cost of living expenses to my bank account prior to submitting my visa application. He will also submit his bank statements and landed properties. My mum has agreed to take temporary custody and care of my 1 year old son while I travel to Canada for the 8 months program. My husband lives in the same town with my mum and he is currently unemployed but intensively looking for a job. What documents can I submit regarding my mum taking temporary custody and care of my son during my absence? What other advice can you give regarding my situation? Thanks |

harley4:Hi, If you are going for a PH.D, it's best for you to go for a PHD program that is fully funded (By the School or Department). Most time, PHD in Canada and other countries has funding available cos of it's duration, research intensive and other factors . Due to the Competitive Nature of Graduate School in CANADA, don't limit yourself to one province (ONTARIO), explore other schools in other provinces. Visit the first two links below and google search the programs there (Biochemistry & Chemistry) Also look downwards & google the schools offering PH.D in Food Science. PHD in Biochemistry https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Biochemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH PHD in Chemistry https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH PH.D in Food Science PhD in Food Science Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia PhD Food Science University of Guelph, Ontario PhD in food science University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan PhD in food science Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador PhD in Food Science University of Manitoba, Manitoba PhD in Food Science (Vancouver) University of British Columbia, British Columbia PhD in Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry McGill University, Quebec Now ,how can you start the process in Securing Supervisor/Supervisors (Professors), getting a Fully funded PH.D Position etc. go through all the content in link below in to to https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 Gurus/menbers that have passed through Grad. School (PH.D) will guide you more better based on their experience Also, If your intentions is to become a Permanent Resident (PR), you can give Canada Express Entry (EE) a Shot - With your M.SC - And your age still looking good (not yet 30, cos once you clock 30 , you gonna start dropping points), you seem eligible to have more CRS Score In a nutshell, before you Clock 30, you can work towards EE For more details & guide on EE, visit the EE thread via the link below https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled 4 Likes 1 Share |

harley4:Almost all PhD program comes with full funding, so try to search for schools offering your intended research interest in your preferred province then contact them to see if they have a place for you. I can't give you names right now, but Google search will go a long way in helping your case. Good luck 1 Like |
