Twitter has confirmed that the official account for US Presidential which has millions of followers will be wiped before Trump handover to Joe Biden.




Mr Biden team fought the plan proposed by Twitter but the social media insisted that there is no going back on their decision.

The move marked a total transformation from the last transition.

Twitter actually agreed to the request made by Donald Trump in 2016 to inherit Barack Obama Millions of Followers.




In 2016, President Trump’s regime acquired all the Twitter followers belonging to Obama on @POTUS and @WhiteHouse at Team 44’s urging, this was revealed by the President-elect digital director, Rob Flaherty via a tweet on Monday.

However, in 2020, Twitter announced that the account of Biden’s administration will start afresh which means from zero.

It will affect followers of Government accounts such as @POTUS and @FLOTUS

Twitter also said that they will duly inform the followers of the current Presidential accounts about the recent change and will give them the opportunity to follow President-elect, Biden administration’s new account.

Obama, Ronaldo, Rihanna, Katy perry e.t.c.

Secondly it's reported that more than half of those followers are actually bots.
