4 – The gift should be accepted with the aim of softening her heart and calling her to Islam, not with friendship and love.

Still, no friendship nor love. Just the aim of converting. But if you say you want to leave, a fatwa will be declared on your head to be killed anyway you are found. Apostate.

But you are willingly and happily converting people, who can't leave.

I'm a Muslim and I know the true teachings of Islam.

It is very sad that some people with half knowledge will just go and quote from internet or website without adequate research or findings and will use it wrongfully to interpret or explain the happenings in the modern world.

Every verse in Quran has interpretation (the explanations for the revelations of each verse). There were happenings that occurred in the past during the time of Prophet Muhammad that necessitated the revelations of each verse. And the revelations were just and truthful based on the occurrences as that time.

"There was a time in the past that the unbelievers killed the people that accepted Islam because they didn't want Islam to dominate. They killed and imprisoned the Muslims. Some died in deserts like kwashiokor with scrawny bodies in thirst and hunger. The sufferings were hard to the extent that, there was a revelation from the Quran that Prophet Muhammad and his people should rise against them and retaliate just the way they had done to people of Islam."

But it is sad that today, some Muslims will just quote a verse blindly from the Quran and say "Muslims should kill the unbelievers, Muslim should reject Christians, and all such hate speech.

Today, some Muslims without knowledge just go to read verses from Quran without knowing the real interpretation that fit the happenings that occurred which necessitated the revelations.

To explain the happenings in today's world with Quran verses, go and read Quran and Tafsir (interpretations).

Stop spreading lies, hate speech, You cant even stand if there's a religious war. Our prophets in the past has fought a religious war for us to live in harmony today, so that everyone can practise his or her own religion without fear or favour.

There is a verse in Quran, which says (There is no compulsion in religion, that is, no forcing of people into religion. But the truth has been established against the falsehood)

Do Your research well!
Read more on Tafsir (Interpretations)

One Love!

Jazakallahu khayra @Scholar Lukgaf. The Part that says not accepting with love..... Is the area I want clarify.
To those who misunderstood this portion, the part was saying that don't accept by showing love for the non Islamic festivals they are celebrating. That's all.

We attend your wedding, house warming, naming ceremony and we eat and no problem in that. So not celebrating and accepting gifts related to your festival does not turn us to be enemy. It's simple understanding.
Meanwhile, some Christians too would say it point blank that they don't accept sallah gifts and we don't fight them. We live normal. So what's now the fuss?

You don’t get their gifts with the aim to convert them. You collect their gifts because it’s good behaviour that prevents hate in the heart of the giver. That was the practice of the Holy Prophet SAW. Not all of those whom he collected their gifts converted to Islam. That should not be the primary purpose of collecting gifts in all situations. Of course we shall not eat the meat that is killed for other gods than Allah. We can collect but not eat the food. In fact many Christians in my country also eat halal meat because it is cleaner with no blood pool in the flesh of the meat. Stunned animal blood does not drain completely before death.

All these hatred and prejudice speeches are uncalled - for, Muslims should practice their religion and Christians should practice their religion simple. Everyone should hold his religion without forcing the other to believing in one rites or obligation.

I totally disagree with this post.... I am a Muslim and I can eat and celebrate Christmas with my christian sisters and christian boyfriend...

If care is not taken he will still fvck my puna today sef

It is not a sin
May the peace of Allah be with you. If truly you are a Muslim, the situations of every matter begin and end with Allah and His noble Prophet ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The festival is heavily based on the celebrations of the birth of God's son or Lord. These two things, as far as Islam is concerned, are very much serious. Based on the my above statement, I would mention few of the reasons why you cannot eat nor celebrate Christian festivals. They include the following:
1. That Allah has begotten son. Which contradicts what Allah says in Qur'an that: He begets not, nor was He begotten. (Surat Al-Ikhlas)
2. If it were to be that of the term of Lord, it means the celebration of the birth of the owner of the worlds. This is totally out of the ways of Islam because the ownership of the Worlds is with Almighty Allah alone. This claim can take someone out of the fold of Islam.
3. The festivals in Islam have been stipulated, so no Muslims should celebrate any other festivals other than the ones recognized by Islam. Celebration is part of what a Muslim should learn like Solat.
4. Celebrating with them in this period of the year has negated one's belief in the shahadah which says "there is no deity worthy of being worshipped other than Allah. If you will be sincere with yourself, judge the statement in regard to Christianity and Christians.
5. The origin of the festival is palpably unclean, even among the Christians many of them didn't recognise it nor celebrate it. You can read further on this.
Just to mention but a few, Christmas, New year and other festivals of the people of the books are unislamic that a responsible, responsive and reasonable Muslim should distant his /her from.
Note: other than their festivals of any kind, Islam makes their food permissible such as it has been mentioned in Suratul Al-Maidah. You can celebrate with them also in things that are permissible within Islamic injunctions such as naming ceremony, wedding, house warming, convocation etc. The issues in Islam are meant for Allah and His messenger to dictate not by your thinking or your whims and caprices. May Allah bless you Ma.

a muslim can eat Christmas food and their is nothing in it, infact it promotes peace and love among us. but u have to make sure the food is not prohibited by Quran eg. Alcohol pig or whatever

Op our Prophet leaves peacfully with non muslims he orders us to do so. they eat urs during Sallah and u refuses to eat there's how will they feel. even among muslims some say maulid is bidi'a and they don't eat food cooked bcs of the occasion.

To non Muslims

Don't be quick to judge based on what u see on net, not every thing said is true. ask does who knows the religion to explain things to u.

Allahu A'alam.( God knows best)

Let's know that humanity is older than religion.

When God created man he never gave them any religion.

He only asked them to dominate the earth.
Sin, ignorance and deception gave birth to religion and surprisingly, that's what has kept religion till date.

My brothers and sisters, love your neighbor and feel free to accept his gift.

The truth is that we're not even sure of our religious beliefs. Someone else brought the idea and sold it to us which we're not sure if he's right or not.

We're only practicing what we're told with faith that is true.

Wisdom is profitable to direct, not religion.

Nigerians are so brainwashed with the so called religion that they can’t see beyond their nose.

The do and don’t in this religion are only for the poor folks not for the rich because I see what the rich and their family are doing.
