I suppose you've read this book since you have it. I'm currently on the second module and I'm having issues installing TensorFlow. I've installed Microsoft C++ distribution, and have added the installation to path but it's still not working. I've had this issue since yesterday.

Do you know any work around this? Thanks.
What ide is this?I use anaconda and conda for installing libraries cos it handles the installation of the libraries and it's dependencies,I'm guessing you don't use anaconda(it's recommended though). Try uninstalling tensorflow and reinstalling it in a virtual environment (venv) cos tensorflow doesn't work like other libraries.

I created a VENV, installed TF but I'm still getting the same error.

So I got an invite for a data science/engineer interview on Wednesday. I was so happy, I don dey search for jobs for almost 8 months now. Mehn I just dey study and read as if I wan write international scholarship exam.

Imagine my shock when the interviewer didn't ask me any data science questions. I was told my job would be creating whiteboard animation videos for primary school kids (online website platform). This life hard gan cry cry

Yes, I'm certain I followed the right steps. I think it's cause my laptop doesn't have a GPU cause I found from the requirements that TF requires a GPU to run. Maybe that's why it's not working. I'm thinking of getting another laptop by the end of January.

I don't have a gpu either,but mine works fine,there are 2 versions,for a gpu enabled system and otherwise,you didn't install the gpu version,did you?

The interviewer first told me I would be working on the backend of a site so I was excited. I then asked him which programming language would be used. That's how he dropped bombshell that there would be no programming. He then said the job would be online education and he told me to install some animation software to my laptop (I was asked to bring my laptop).

See the emails. The 1st one was the invite, the 2nd contain the questions given after the interview.

Your laptop doesn't have a GPU? shocked

It must be very old then. You can use Google colab na.

I initially installed it directly. When I noticed the issue at first, I read the docs and later installed the CPU wheel, but it's still the same issue. I already installed PyTorch and it's working fine. I guess I'll move on with PyTorch, I already downloaded materials for it.

Yes o, it's one hp elite book 8440p. I'll get another one by early February. I don't enjoy coding online much, I'll just go with PyTorch since they do the same job.

You mean only "very old" laptops don't have GPU's? undecided

Lately, I have been looking to mining relationships that may be existent in the network of relationships possible on a thread on Nairaland. If we collected data from any one thread, say this thread for example, we can define relationships between posters who quote each other in reply to other posts. If many more posters quote each other frequently than they do others, it is possible they could form a cluster of relationship independent from other relationships on a thread. I tried to look at this problem as a spectral partitioning problem and used linear algebra to examine possible solutions.

So, I scraped the data from this programming post on Nairaland and tried to look for clusters of relationships visualized as a directed graph. The direction of the edges indicate who quotes who. We can define this as a relationship between source and target. A user in the source column has made a post and quotes the target. Multiple quotes have been separated into separate observations. The first picture shows the kind of graph we expect. The second picture shows a sparse matrix defining the relationship between any two node. This is after symmetrizing the resultant matrix we obtain from the directed graph. The last picture shows the cluster we form using the second smallest eigenvector of the Laplacian of the matrix. This is also known as the Fielder vector.

That last graph reveals the two groups inherent in the data based on interaction between posters. In this particular dataset, the main center of interaction is the original poster (OP) who is Paapii3d. The groups appear to be divided based on those who have or did not have interactions with the OP. When the individual groups are examined, we find that users clustered in the top left are less likely to have interacted with Paapii3d, while bulk of the other users are more likely to have interacted with the OP, or interacted with those who interacted with the OP. The average number of interactions in Group 0 is about 1.1, while the average number of interactions in Group 1 is much higher at 2.12.

This kind of solution can be used to identify communities in a graph, especially, as in this case, where there is a main center of attraction. I'm working on putting the notebook which goes into details about the solution approach on github. If anyone is interested, you can let me know and I'll send you the link.

@Cochtrane, please I need the link. I also have one request from you.... Please the dataset you scraped some times back about Nairaland posts which you Analyzed with R (you also did a wordcloud of it) Can you please update the data. The dataset currently has about 2800 rows or there about. Please help update the scraping of the data and make the GitHub link available for us.
God bless

Good day everyone and Compliments of the season.

Please I will like to know why the Data>>"Relationships" option on my Excel doesn't want to open. "Relationships" option helps show relationship between selected group of data. pls what could be the problem??
