I hated a good friend for not speaking out the truth when he was actively involved in preventing another older friend from knocking off my teeth in a scouful........the guy gave me more than 12 direct punches to my face while I shielded my face with my hands....

Then I went to report to the school authority and he was facing rustification from the school in totality..he blantly denied any close contacts with me, even when my face is swollen..the security dept. Needed just a withnesd from my angle that is also our student. I asked my guy to step forward and bail me out, he refused.....making me look like a liar.

I lost the case and was warned never to lie on anyone again!
