Commonsense101: In Nigeria, there’s always a problem for every solution. Well it’s not my shop and it met my need. If I bought over 100 pcs of light locally manufactured/assembled or whatever it is, in Nigeria and none has packed up in 2 years, I think I’m ok. _______ 3 Likes |

davodyguy: Hehe!! It’s also much lesser than N5,000 when you buy from here and you’ll receive your order same day - not 6 weeks or 3 months after. I never had to comb the whole of Lagos looking for what’s not lost. I only send my Uber driver to the company and they gave him my good. That’s the big difference here bro! I see my stuff, pay, obtain my warranty certificate and move. Shikena! __________ You’re buying a product you’ve not seen from a seller you’ve not met and you think it’s cheaper than the ones you can see physically and obtain parts+labour warranty. What about the associated risks? I no get una mind o! 1 Like

Nero2424: - Superior Insulation - Better sound absorption (you’ll have to do over 1mm gauge of aluminum or install fiberglass insulation to match this). - Strength of concrete - Fire resistant One of the major drawback of flat roofs in contemporary builds is insulation (heat or sound). ______ You don’t have to believe. davodyguy: You are an annoying tribalist and one with low IQ. You obviously don't trust them but yet you keep going back. It's what I tell people who decide to limit fraud to one ethnicity. Please and please, only buy from the ethnicity you trust, whether it's pure water or recharge card. I always tell people like you to remember your fathers fought to keep them in this country. They have always expressed their willingness to go form their country yet Nigerians insist against this. Why not support that clamour so you can remain with your trustworthy brothers? As far as I'm concerned, you should go and thank the seller. Consider the 130k as school fees for acquiring sense. People like you will always be the easiest to dupe and be rest assured you'd keep paying school fees until you finally get your brain functioning. 10 Likes |

Happy holidays to everyone out there. I'm glad that we can now agree that whether you buy online or offline, due diligence is required. Personally, I prefer to buy my phone charger from Nairaland and pay 2k for shipping because I believe the seller will hate my negative comment on his thread should he sell fake. Most online sellers sell with the barest profits because we intend to sell many and fast too. And please crime isn't unique to one tribe. I don buy phone from oyibo man and it was icloud locked. I sent someone to get him to unlock it and he was robbed. Once again, enjoy your holidays and learn from the experience and others 6 Likes |

Chief, Ignorance is never an excuse. We the so-called "kobo kobo" project owners are the same ones spending multi millions on just one aspect of finishing, most times not getting good value for money. That term seem to have morphed and often misconstrued to denote so many misconceptions. Building small small or "kobo-kobo" doesn't/shouldn't mean; - not performing due diligence - buying fake/inferior products in the name of na kobo-kobo project, then expecting such product to perform magic - adopting substandard building methods - compromising safety - not paying for services rendered - feigning ignorance BTW, does it still count as kobo-kobo if I am capable to walk into the market to purchase materials worth multi-millions in one go? Me I have taken note of the options to source genuine products directly from manufacturer. gurunlocker: 1 Like |

n3xt:For Alibaba and AliExpress, you're give about 25 days to open a dispute after confirmation of receiving your order. If you have issues after the 15 days grace period, I think you're on your own. That's the difference. But have it in mind that it's sometimes also difficult here to claim manufacturer's warranty in Nigeria. They can begin to tell you stories of how the damage is caused by power surge or improper handling. But I think on this thread, we should start posting genuine places to source materials 3 Likes |

megacontrol: I've always felt that Kobo Kobo project meant a building done in stages as money or other related issue allows. As opposed to wiring N50M to a builder for a turnkey building. Hajjs house was built as a Kobo Kobo project (in fact I think it was on this project that it was coined) but it's far from a low cost build. 4 Likes |

EgunMogaji2:Kobo Kobo project doesn't necessarily mean the builder is poor. It simply means stage by stage development, rather than timed project done on contract basis where the contractor tells you it would cost ₦50m to finish the house and you out the amount in the bank. I remember how I started my project. I gave myself a 3 months timeline to roof, which we achieved. We started the first of 23 pile points on 15th April, 2020 (during the lockdown) and roofed the building exactly on 15th July, 2020. Took a break for 1 month, then moved to windows. After windows, we started conduit piping in September. By mid October, we moved to sight fully with wiring, plastering etc. From November till date finishing commenced fully with tilers, POP guys, electricians, bricklayers etc everyone is there at the site now, hoping that by Mid January, we should be done. We are over 70% done It still a Kobo Kobo project done in stages 1 Like 1 Share |

davodyguy: This is nothing but pure tribal hate. An attempt at ethnic profiling meant to demarket a section of people because of their occupation. I used to think this place is a decent section different from our rough and tumble in the politics section. I might be wrong after all. I will wait for you to apologize or to modify/recant this post, or we will start something here which none of you will like. I might come back with my own looooooong ethnic stories and trust me, you all will be angry the way it might sound.
