The House of Representatives has denied apologising to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), or anybody in the Presidency for inviting him to address Nigerians on the growing insecurity in the country. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/insecurity-we-didnt-apologise-for-inviting-buhari-reps/%3famp=1

He also stated that Buhari was invited & not summoned, stressing that he was to engage the lawmakers in a dialogue and was not compelled to appear before them. Was invited not summoned Was to engage in a dialogue not compelled to appear before them. Isn't it obvious we have rubber stamp legislative 10 Likes 1 Share |

This is the reason rubber stamp legislooters isn't to be envied any bit. He gave the speaker a nod to attend, his handlers even released date and time for his appearance but till today d President or Presidency as d case may be hasn't officially communicated the House Leadership on why they were shunned. If d legislative arm were to be truly independent such indignation against d lawmakers must not be tolerated but being a rubber stamp one they are helpless 9 Likes 1 Share |
