acceptbtcpay: The stocks are not lying on their servers. and their servers do not have any link with it. They are just a third-party for known investment brokers both internationally and locally. Your stock remains your stock even if these businesses close |

yoursidenigga: So is there information on how we can reclaim our stocks if they close down? |
Re: Buying US Stocks From Nigeria by yoursidenigga(m): 9:27am On Oct 09, 2020 |
acceptbtcpay: They all have plans for that. I use chaka.ng and had to ask their customer care about it. So, I am sure of that. I am a long-term trader. I buy and keep for long 1 Like |

yoursidenigga: True but don't they have access to your password? What if they decide to go rogue on you? Some years ago certain known stockbrocker names on the NSE were banned from trading on the Exchange because they sold clients shares without authorization and stole the money!! All things considered, the Fintechs are good because they make it easy to acquire Forex and remove some of the bottlenecks associated with these offshore stockbrokers. 2 Likes |

Pennywise: they don't even need your password to sell it since its not stored on their server. I guess we're just trusting them not to do so. 1 Like |

midolian: What would your BVN be used for? Trove and Chaka are legitimate businesses with offices. If you have any doubt you can visit their office or contact customer service. If tou had read the earlier parts of this thread, you would see that your questions have been duly addressed. 1 Like |

I have investments in both Chaka and Bamboo. I find chaka's fees more expensive and the interface not as simplified as bamboos'. Also bamboo reduces commissions from 1.5% to 1% when you become a gold member. Your investments are also insured by FDIC for up to $250,000. I have been investing since May and i can say i am very happy with Bamboo. I have added a snapshot of my portfolio (hidden amounts) but you can have an idea of what ~6 months roi looks like. The key is to buy the dips. You also gain more as a value/growth/dividend investor than a trader due to the high commissions on these platforms (even as at bamboo's reduced 1%), traders need to find commission-free platforms like robinhood. 1 Like |

My question is, for instance you buy a stock...let’s say $TSLA $10 in the morning and there’s a spike in the evening, can one sell it off immediately? I mean on Bamboo? |
