Thanks, exactly my point.

For partners getting 35k weekly now....it maybe a hard delivery during winter..

As well with the look of things, a total lockdown might be looming

This is false.

There is nothing misleading to an investor.

There is nothing misleading about the fact that uber allots 12 hrs driving time daily. How you use the 12 hrs is up to you, nor the fact that earnings are just earnings and that what you decide to do with the earnings sets you apart from the next man.

Investors invest based on the fact that other investors receive between 20k and 30k weekly from drivers. How the investor decides to do that is up to him. You can't hire a non performing driver and then blame it on the earnings posted on a forum. That's just grave stupidity to the power of infinity and proves that you have no business investing in the first place.

I’ve said this several times that there is money in ehailing but you really get the money if you’re are the owner of the car. The dashboard you posted is always obtainable during the festive period.

The problem investors have is they do the paper stuff and forgo some important calculations in the weekly remittance. Drivers don’t just buy fuel and pay commission, they settle police, touts, lastma, recharge their phones daily, buy data, get their lives threatened (I had to be a tout ) so yea getting 20/25k is a real sweet deal for the owner provided the driver is reasonable and not one of those tiny heads that speed past you every time flouting traffic rules.

The 800k challenge is no big deal at all. Consistently, I’ve been grossing over 25k any day I decide to work(35-50k sat/sun) so if I was working seriously for nov/dec, I’d do over 1m.

January is a different story from nov/dec although I think things would be different this time(my opinion)

You talk like jpworld by the way, mr cheerfulgiver.

It shouldn't be hard. At least top drivers can boast of 800k in 2 months tongue
Paying 35k rental shouldn't be hard. If they can't, the vehicles should be retrieved and given to others who can.

Those that can't, they will jejely and consistently pay what they can. grin

Everyone is happy, eventually.

Negative,
1. let him post his Nov/Dec for us to decide. The previous one is over a million but his own is not up to.
2. Only two drivers just posted their own and JP had already said where the money goes if the number is not up to 30 or 20 and we all agreed. So agreement is agreement.

I understand it's your opinion, but I really think we should put ourselves in the partner's shoes.

Uber cars do not run on fresh air and sunlight. They use mechanical parts that wear and tear, and the prices of these parts increase almost every day.

What you bought for #xx in November has definitely increased in December, and will definitely increase in January. I don't see how someone would reduce his rental price because trips are limited? Will the driver use the car less in January? Obviously no

Any driver who definitely be saving ahead for January. You can start saving your two weeks rent now (60k) instead of waiting for rental reduction.

All, I mean all the prices of parts have increased.

No vex say I quote you sha

Very well said, I am not a driver but I enjoy this thread, I have a question. I know some some users here are very aggressive, please ignore my question if it doesn't make sense to you.

I have a 2006 toyota corolla, not registered. My question is can I give it out to anyone here or outside and get return daily(btw 4k to 5k) as opposed to the regular practice of weekly? Thank you.

What you guys are forgetting is the goal is to HAVE 800k in the bank. If you are saving 60k for winter then do you really have 800k or 740k? Also, whoever posts should account for their expenses that period. At the very least fuel, maintenance, sacrifices to keep the SARs, LAWMA and other demons at bay and data records should be posted as they are expenses needed for the job. Food is not a primary business expense and tastes vary so that can be excluded.

Not keeping track of expenses is not an excuse and terrible business practice. How do you know what you make if you don't keep track of spending? You should have a log book where you keep track. No business ever grows without knowing where its income goes to the kobo. Take care of the kobos and the Nairas will mind themselves. Business 101.

In conclusion, now that dru is in, I know someone will definitely get paid 10k [s]so I join dru to match 10k IF poster also accounts for their expenses. I will also throw in two synthetic oil changes.[/s]

Is it so hard to understand? 10k so you lose 120k (10k a month) because someone doesn't understand economics? Not very enticing.

That's like a store saying they sold 5 million this month. DID THEY MAKE 5 MILLION?

Someone said he gave up his life to get what he did. Is it worth it? Can married people or fathers do the same? There lies your answer.

I'm tired of the excuses so I'm in teacher mode today.

I'm going to amend my previous offer.

Post your bank statement from Nov1-Dec31 along with your dashboard. Drivers know what the accounts that deposit from all the e-hailing companies are right? We take those payments, add any cash payments, subtract fuel and data. If it is 800k, I will give N50,000. I will also make you a P&L statement that might give additional information on how to operate more efficiently.
EDIT: I forgot sacrifices to keep the SARs, LAWMA and other demons at bay as part of necessary business expenses.

Sound fair?
