Hello, To get a court order, you have to engage a lawyer and go to court (not just a cover letter or affidavit). In most cases, the issue of the Child's father will be brought to light so be ready. Your lawyer will be able to advice further, it will also be financially demanding but the good news is that once you have gotten this, your child's application will be straight forward because you have the legal right as the primary responsible parent. This is not just a requirement for UK, you will need this proof if you and your child intend to visit other countries as well (atleast until 18years). Take your time, do the research and ground work. Then you can apply. Cheers |

Your lawyer will be able to give you specific advice, but I think its almost a given that the child's father will be brought into the matter especially given the different last names in your case and I think you should be specifically ready for that. |

Hello family! I am counting down to when maintenance funds will mature albeit I have an issue. I am the applicant, my dependant who happened to be my spouse applied for UK visa in the year 2010. She applied through and agent. The agent claimed the visa was not granted and her passport was stamped UK2010. The issue now is she wasn't interviewed neither was her biometrics taken. We are considering the whole thing was a scam as she left everything to the agent. Now the issue is at the point when she is asked if she had been refused a visa what should we fill there as she isn't sure of the application status. Any advise of thought from the gurus in the house will go along way. We are due to apply January 11. |

I think the agent try to scam her, to be really sure what the agent did file a fraud report at the police station so he can come and explain himself... There's no way she will apply for a visa and not go for biometric. caramel1759: 1 Like 1 Share |

caramel1759: Apart from the "UK Abuja" or "UK Lagos" stamp, is there a reference number? If there is a reference number, then the application was made and refused. |

There was nothing to show, only the stamp UK2010. The agent didn't give a reason for rejection when asked. My fear is if she say Yes she has applied before and the consulate says they don't have her record, how will it impact the decision and what if she says No and the application turns out to be real. Meanwhile the agent's whereabout is not known till now TheGuyFromHR: |

caramel1759: I understand your position. There is a reference number and date written by hand in the passport under the high commission stamp, not just the year. It's most likely her agent did nothing and pocketed the money he got from her. There is a process for requesting from the UK government any information it has about you and your previous applications. Check carefully, do a Google search for the link and see if you can follow the procedure. |

Please those that successfully applied and got a visa, is it compulsory that all the documents you upload on tls must be original coloured copy? In a situation where you only have a photocopy of a document and your school granted CAS without any objections to the photocopy, does uploading that photocopy on TLS affect the decision on your visa application? Please it's urgent thank you. |

caramel1759: Biometric was introduced about 2008 so by 2010 there was definitely biometrics...... so if she never went for biometric then maybe the agent never applied. Just chop the money and put a stamp there This kind of cases are hard to advice.... once you go with agents then you just have to accept whatever future consequences that come. So here I doubt if anyone really knows how to go about it. So much uncertainty..... she just have to apply not using that passport for sure and try to answer questions as best as she can |

In order to avoid misleading or deception, just jejely request for your dependant's immigration history https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/requests-for-personal-data-uk-visas-and-immigration/request-personal-information-held-by-uk-visas-and-immigration A friend did his recently and wasn't up to 2 weeks when all info was sent back. caramel1759: 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Just to add: If the request takes longer than expected, I will advise you apply together on a later date (depending on your resumption date) or she applies separately. 'Cos if you state she was refused (and wasn't) or vice versa, it complicates the whole application process. caramel1759: |

Bourne007: Mr Bourne, can I use this link to get the actual dates of my 3 refusals. I can’t remember the months, but I surely remember the years. 2008, 2012 & 2013. OR do I just fill any month and use the summary box to explain that I have lost my refusal letter hence the reason why I can’t remember the actual months.

Good evening everyone. Thanks to everyone making this platform great.. I want to apply for masters in the UK around September or November next year that is if there are schools that have November intake. I am a single mum to a 7 yrs old boy and I also have a sister of 15yrs staying with me for 3 years now (our parents are late). My son's father and I are in good terms hence if consent letter is needed he can be provide it my questions are, 1. Can I bring my son and sister as dependant kids with me to the UK? If yes, what documents do I need to provide. I am asking because I want to start preparing for everything on time. 2. I have a Bsc in Mass communication but trained as an auxiliary nurse. Is it possible to do Msc in health related course? I understand in the USA and Canada, there is what is called accelerated nursing but I don't know about the UK. I am trying to switch because I now run a Surrogacy agency and doing a health related course will be helpful for my business. 3, am I allowed to travel out of the UK during my Msc program? Like during breaks? I am asking because of my business 4, when is the best time to start the admission process.. please note that I don't intend to apply for Visa till at most a month to resumption because of POF issue. Your inputs will be greatly appreciated. 2 Likes 1 Share |
