radautoworks: how can you get a corresponding bank statement of that earnings, it's not possible. we do both cash and card trips and some cash trips are paid through transfer so how do you get to understand the bank statement with all the transactions that took place in my account. |

jpworld: Remember, this was the genesis of the challenge. This is why my requirements of bank statements. With these lovely dashboards where is the SAVED 800k that matches your earnings? And technically this should apply to those whose main income stream is uber so kanuisagoat wouldn't count as this is his side hustle and he has alternate revenue streams. Can the average driver do the above is the question? 9 Likes 1 Share |

Olayetan: If I can manage a large company's bank statement I can figure it out On a serious note it doesn't take a genius to see multiple small amounts and figure out they are trip payments. The amounts cash or not will match your dashboard earnings. If dashboard says 100k one week, there should be corresponding payments totalling about that much is it not? Factor in a percentage of error for actual cash in hand that was never deposited and it should be close. And yes, we are factoring in that it takes a few days to get your money after the week. I told you my teacher cap is on. Whether 800k is possible or not is beside the point. This is about learning money management. Have you ever wondered why it seems like no matter how much some people earn they are always broke? Some drivers here are living beyond their means without realizing it. Others are not maximizing their income and could have probably achieved so much more. Yet others are making what sem to be massive incomes but only actually making less than 25% of what they work for. Which one are you? On the flip side some investors think this is a gold mine and want to jump in. It may well be under the right conditions but what are those conditions? Other investors have misconceptions about driver's earnings vs take home. This exercise will shed some light. New year, new mindset. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Olayetan:Post your bank statement to no one. No one saves 800k in 2 months. I thought this was about highest earner, now I'm seeing all sort of stuff. Earning is easy. Everyone has stuff to do with money they make. It'll be absurdity for anyone to drive and save 800k in 2 months because they were promised 10k. 11 Likes |

chillex8:No one saves 100k a week from uber. That's impossible. Earning 800k in 8 weeks yes. Saving 800k in 8 weeks? Not in this world, not in the world to come. I kept seeing highest earner. Which made me join the thing. Next thing I'm seeing post expenditure, break down, bank statement.... Say who die? If I can save 800k in two months, what can 10k from an anonymous forum contributor do for me? If 10k is for highest earner, fine. 17 Likes |

CheerfulGiver:I have an office job paying 200k monthly. I hear uber drivers make 800k in 2 months. I came to this thread and saw dashboard of over 800k true true. I quit my job at the end of the month (December) and used all my savings to buy a car to be driving myself with the hope of doubling my salary. I start driving in January but gross 200k (net 110k) at the end of the month. Subsequent months, gross increase to averagely 320k (net 170k) every month Then i realize that the 800k is only for December rush with mad surge, and after commission and fuel money are deducted, it is actually around 460k net for the 2 peak months. Then I come back to nairaland to swear for the person that posted his dashboard without explaining the deductions and the stress I have to go to before I can achieve it. Now instead of my dream of 100% increment in income, I'm stuck with 15% decrement plus hard labour. (Yes, driving up and down for over 12 hours daily, 6 days in a week is hard labour. You'll age with speed) This is the best way I think I can explain why it is misleading to just post dashboards with high earnings without tobacco-like warning. 26 Likes |

deedee44:Hello chief. Making money is not the same as spending or saving. Since I started driving uber I have never netted below 110k a week. Never. And it includes offline trips. Jan to December. Always between 110 and 125 on average. Weekly expenses dey. Fuel, etc. I only drive uber. I'm only allowed 12 hrs daily. I don't need to drive more than 12 hrs a day. What for? Dashboard earnings a week a what they are. Earnings. Your 200k a month office job is basically saying 50k weekly earnings on your office dashboard. You're lying if you say that you don't spend money weekly to get to that office and run your daily activities. An uber driver earns more than 50k a week, even after paying rent, for those on rent. You don't need to see deductions for anything to believe the earnings, just as I don't need to see your weekly expenditure for your measly 200k a month job. Uber driving is not for everyone. Don't let anyone lie to you. For those that understand driving and have a passion for it, they are the highest earners. I fall into this category and I'm not bragging, it's a statement of fact. 6 Likes |

Olayetan: I don't think it is wise for you to post your bank statement on a public forum just because of 20k or 50k, since that wasn't the condition earlier, just ignore, take the 10k from dru and the other guy world guy. 1 Like |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 11:44pm On Dec 28, 2020 |
CheerfulGiver:It's just an example sir. It's not everybody that can consistently net 110k every week like you, and it's not everybody that can consistently drive for 12 hours daily like you. That's where the misleading comes in. I'm not against posting of dashboard, just try and explain how it was achieved so intending investors won't think that's how every driver makes it thereby taking decisions they will later regret. 14 Likes |
