Too many bad reviews about soko loan.

What you people actually don't understand is, if a customer refuses to pay back a soko loan, the money will be deducted from the salary of the staff that disbursed the loan. That's why they are so mean and ruthless. Sometimes they will even threaten you with police grin. The will embarass you by texting all your contacts including your exs and enemies.
lol. My ex collected a loan once and they texted me

Sokoloan, the nightmare of desperate borrowers ... A friend called me before midnight like a week ago and was begging me to to send 17k to her account, that she has the cash, but needed to send the money immediately; the Sokoloan people were on her head, insisting that she mus make the payment that same night being the due date. Imagine the relief, when I sent her the money. She could not thank me enough. I asked her to keep it, but be wary next time of these loan companies promising heaven on earth.

What I dont understand is how these loan sharks can append a profit index of 60 percent for a 14 day loan. Isnt the duration way too short considering the profit index? This country is truly a mess

I won't blame them entirely. If you know how we Nigerians behave you'd understand. Many don't have the intention of paying back the loan they borrowed. If they are too gentle they'll go bankrupt, na madness we dey like....

There's one other loan company like that(forgot the name), they'll only threaten to message your contacts but they won't. A guy here on Nairaland was saying they are disturbing him too much with calls, so for that he's not going to pay back and he knows they won't message his contacts.

If you are not certain of paying back the loan at the stipulated time don't borrow. No be by force... If you know what these loan companies don see for Nigerians hand you won't blame them, just like a "wounded lion", It's do or die to them now, they don't care how it affects you, they want their money back by fire by force

You are correct. At times it might be condition that make the borrower unable to pay back, but some people with criminal tendency will collect loan and won't want to pay back. I know of a guy like that.

You are right, this is why they are taking it too far, Nigerians shouldn't borrow what they can't afford to pay, or don't borrow if you can't afford to pay back.

Nigerians ain't credit worthy, i agree with you. Do you know that some people will borrow 100ngn from mtn and others and abandon their sim card? So you now want sokoloan to be handling things with soft hand. So many people are borrowing money from them with the intention of not paying back.

I tell you. The ediots could not even give her the benefit of doubt and allow the day to break. I have advised her to take care with these loan apps, but guess what? She was even telling me that she would not use sokoloan again, but use only carbon and fairmoney. I smh.

The so called carbon and fairmoney should sit up too, they should up their game and be more strict, if not, they will liquidate very soon. All the commercial and microfinance banks that died prematurely, it was loan defaulters that caused their early death. Some people's mentality is that loan from banks is manna from heaven and part of the national cake

What happens if you register with a loan app(bvn included) and you don't borrow? I registered with them but changed my mind about borrowing. I tried disconnecting from them but couldn't find the option (fair money). Abeg my account safe?

Your account is safe I have dealings with them several times. I decided to keep away from borrowing for good. Interest is high(I have paid like 50k interest to that company on different loans collected, I have never defaulted) I was given 250,000 with interest of 40k plus(not too sure now) I declined. Hence, I deleted their app from my phone. However, if u want to delete your account (inclusive your bvn)

How to Delete Fairmoney Account (Profile)
Before we proceed you should know that you can delete your account by sending a deletion mail to Fairmoney customer support.
Follow the below steps to get it:

Step 1. Login to your email address and click “Compose” or “Create” to write a new mail.

Step 2. Title it “Request for Fairmoney Account Deletion”

Step 3. Compose your mail stating you want to delete or close your account.

Step 4. After composing your mail forward it to help@fairmoney.com.ng.

Alternatively, you can Fairmoney Customer Service on 017001276 or 018885577 open from 9am to 5pm every Monday to Friday.
That’s it.
Note that once your data or profile is deleted from Fairmoney database you may not be able to retrieve them in the future. So, don’t be in a haste here.

True talk. Although fairmoney incentive for early repayment is far better than carbon

Carbon is more understanding all you need to do is write them a mail and explain your difficulties and why you are unable to repay back at the moment.

possibilita:
Choi i use God beg carbon make them no try this with me.
Coz as them Don dey send me text threatening legal action so I hope no be next step

Honestly something needs to be done about all these loan sharks angry how can a company go as far as lying against someone that they ran away with company funds undecided

The highest they should have done was to call the guarantors and not calling the whole contacts on the phone
. I think I posted it here some months ago that sokoloan is a scam company, with the experience some people shared on this forum they will borrow you 5k with 2.5k interest in7 days . they employed secondary school dropouts as recovery agents and placed them on commission. Once you download their app all your contacts are scan automatically and you must on your Gprs and location

I don't work with any of these fintech loan companies.. But I can tell you one thing..

Nigerians don't like to pay loans.. This almost killed ren money.. And a lot of other finance firms hence their strong stance on zero tolerance for default..

No 1 rule of loans.. Do not take loans you ain't sure you can pay back.. Trust me. No loan company will listen to your excuse even if the person is sick or has serious challenges..cos obviously.. Nigerians love to give excuses as why not to pay back a loan.

No 2...only take a loan if you have concrete and realistic plan of how to pay back. I used to take loans years ago from palm credit.. And I only take the loan 2 weeks or a week to salary day when I might have exhausted my funds.. Knowing that.. The duration I take the loan tally's with when salary will be paid.. And I never defaulted cos I disciplined myself never to owe anyone or anybody.. And anytime I am paid salary.. The first thing I do is settle any debts... Then I manage whatever thats left..

The truth is this... Nigerians will always give reasons not to pay back and as some of us in core finance sector kNows... When you have a defaulting client..most clients only pay when you apply serious pressure on them and they only pay to those that disturb them most...

It's all the truth..

Hence the saying.. Don't borrow money you can't let go.. Cos.. Most Nigerians don't even pay back money borrowed from friends and family.. Let alone loan Companies.

Let's team up and deal with this people. I have never borrowed from them but it is very annoying. How do they have access to peoples phone contact. This is completely illegal and complete fraud. Hacking into peoples phone without there consent.

na only me fit them

late last 2 years I took 30k loan from them
I intended paying on time ooo infact I was about to pay them that day in the evening.
but these ediots started their normal way of rubbish insult.
this one na man ooo
next thing is that they started sending useless messages to my contacts
that was when I vowed never to give them shi shi
They call call tire
one of them used her personal number to call me and be begging me to pay even if na half.
i asked her about my image they've dented?
she said nothing
then I told her frankly that I will never pay a dime to them
that my image is priceless.
Meanwhile I've messaged all my contacts to disregard any messages about me that my phone was hacked and a serial blackmailer on the loose.
Hehehehehe they believed me.

Meanwhile the useless sokoloan was still begging and I kuku blocked their numbers and blacklist them
till today I no pay them shi shi

op you're not supposed to pay that money I swear
