The management of the Deeper Life High School has suspended the principal of the school in Akwa Ibom State, Solomon Ndidi, over the alleged molestation of one of the pupils.

Distraught mother of the junior student of Deeper Life High School, Idoro near Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Deborah Okezie had in a Facebook video which went viral on social media platforms alleged that her son was starved and also molested by some senior pupils of the school.

According to her, she went to the school sometimes last month and saw that her son, once a boisterous and healthy-looking chap has completely emaciated.

She stated that after prodding him, he alleged that the principal of the school moved him to the senior pupils’ hostel for bedwetting, disclosing that the senior students seized that opportunity to abuse him by pushing their hands and legs into his anus even as they vowed to kill him if he ever reports the incident to the principal or his mother.

Continuing, she said when she reported her findings to the principal, he pledged to move the 11-year-old boy back to the junior hostel but did not do so.

Apparently disturbed by the Facebook post, the state government immediately swung into action by setting up an investigation team to unravel the alleged abuse.

Governor, Udom Emmanuel, who ordered the state Commissioner for Education, Dr Enobong Mboho, to probe the alleged abuse, pledged that no stone would be left unturned in getting to the root of the alleged dastard act.

Also piqued by the ugly development, the management of the school suspended the principal of the school, Solomon Ndidi, to allow an undeterred probe into the matter, assuring that no one found culpable would be spared.

The statement said, “We want to assure the general public that investigations into the case have commenced and no culprits, whether staff or students, will be spared if found culpable at the end of the exercise. As an interim measure and to underscore the seriousness we attach to higher superintending values, the school principal has been suspended summarily even as further investigations continue.

“We firmly assure the discerning public that the overall outcome of the investigations will be made known and appropriate disciplinary actions will be meted to all culprits in this unfortunate act that admittedly threatens to cast unnecessary aspersions on a unique institution that has been a shining example to all over the years.”

Good move...the seniors involved should also be suspended and thoroughly investigated.

We really need to start speaking up against evil is our society for a better Nigeria.

Who knows how long this barbaric act have been going on over there.Some parents are aware but because they are members of the church they kept mute.

The said commissioner is a disgrace to her state. In a sane society she should have been relieved of her duty for her shameful conduct.

The mother of the child should be given award as the mother of the year.She was dogged and stood her ground,even when the pressure was high.

As a parent,when you think sending your kids to a Christian school for proper upbringing and betterment of their future,not knowing same school is where demon attend.

Suspension is nothing compare to the molestation the boy has gone through, she could come back and send another junior student to the senior lodge. Termination of appointment is the best !

Junior students abuse is actually an institutional thing in most hostel, suspending the seniors involved and massive campaign might help

I also attended a prestigious boarding house owned by the catholics.

The principal was suspended the very first day the matter was raised.
The woman is evil looking for unnecessary publicity, what measure has she taken in house with the school board members before unnecessary outburst, she should have seek redress with the school management before going public, I even heard that the state superintendent in Deeper Life, an old man came kneeling down for her in the hospital. I guess that was what really made the commissioner so bitter against her, the woman is evil.


For those quoting me, read objectively and with open mindedness before coming to spew trash, the woman failed woefully in her parentage, how can she be the last to pick her child from school, a mother that her child have gone for 13 weeks, should be enthusiastic to have her child back home.
