See below. The genesis of the challenge was to SAVE 800k in two months hence the request for a statement. Always find the full story before you start mouthing off. Now you see why you shouldn't have been so cocky in your previous posts.

I don't think anybody can save 800k naira.. But it is possible to cross over 800k naira .. That is what am supporting with 10k naira.. Friday will find out

Two Shawn

Well my contest is that drivers can gross 800k whether nay net or gross .....

I think Jpworld point his trying to make is that drivers are making money especially during this festive period.. So because of that he can increase rental delivery.. Things are going up due to inflation etc .. Parts are expensive and import items are gone through the roof .....

Every investor has to adjust accordily, I don't plan to increase my rental at all, whether rain or shine I will stick to between 20k to 25k and I will do 100% of maintenance.

That is my own business model ,but I will not take any excuse from any drivers that messes up .. The things about me is that am equally as nasty as I am nice.. I am extreme to that level ..

Any driver that works for me and cant succeed under my business model, will need to go and appease the gods and his/her village people .....what works for me ,might not work for others....

PS.. Jpworld sent me all the evidence of ownership of all his cars. 11 in total and also his DL included. So I believe him.. His information is too sensitive to post online, he only send it to me because he trust me ........

So Friday lets us appreciate the highest earners. And the ones that are able to break down their expenses should get your 50k naira prize ... till Friday we shall wait

Dru, I respect you because you keep your word but not that is NOT what jp said. Not then, not now, not ever. If he had said what you said above there wouldn't have been as big a backlash. Stop making excuses for him. He has broken every single agreement be has ever made on this forum yet tries to be everyone's police. He is a joke. Please don't put yourself next to him because it diminishes you.

Which reminds me, since we were recently talking about drivers adhering to the contract, is it in the contract that he can arbitrarily change the rental fee at any time if he feels they are making more?

We have all finally gotten to the same page.
Meaning dashboard earnings are just illusion,
But what remains in the account is the koko.
N30k is still very possible to be won then

I dont have issue with him owing cars or not, or if he charges his drivers 100k per week, but the condescending manners he treats people and especially his drivers.

This same man can post his drivers' details or anything online; names, pictures, earnings but can't do same about himself. Here is he hiding his details.
Are his drivers less humans? Talk to him to do better please. He should start doing better by treating people and his drivers with dignity.

I have an office job paying 200k monthly.

I hear uber drivers make 800k in 2 months.

I came to this thread and saw dashboard of over 800k true true.

I quit my job at the end of the month (December) and used all my savings to buy a car to be driving myself with the hope of doubling my salary.

I start driving in January but gross 200k (net 110k) at the end of the month.

Subsequent months, gross increase to averagely 320k (net 170k) every month

Then i realize that the 800k is only for December rush with mad surge, and after commission and fuel money are deducted, it is actually around 460k net for the 2 peak months.

Then I come back to nairaland to swear for the person that posted his dashboard without explaining the deductions and the stress I have to go to before I can achieve it.

Now instead of my dream of 100% increment in income, I'm stuck with 15% decrement plus hard labour. (Yes, driving up and down for over 12 hours daily, 6 days in a week is hard labour. You'll age with speed)

This is the best way I think I can explain why it is misleading to just post dashboards with high earnings without tobacco-like warning.

If I tell you I'm not lost in all this, nah lie I deh lie... but it's all good and fun

The only thing that interest me now Izzou went to sleep his wife, that's barbaric and it pollutes the mind grin after they go sat nah only pope deh light oven, but all men have their bus stop

check out my net for 3months, Nov/Dec alone is over 800k.

Looking @ your figures, 26k can't be fuel for 4 weeks of driving in December.
Do you agree now that saving 100k/ week is a tall order.?

Am not for or against anyone .... I didnt know from the beginning that the contest was about drivers saving 800k naira ... I was more for drivers grossing 800k naira .. I know that drivers can't save 800k regardless if the car belongs to driver or not .......

That been said in the spirit of goodness, since this contest has started , let us give the money to the highest earner on Friday.. Your 50k naira is still fair enough as long as the highest earner can break down his/her expenses and show proof .. And Jpworld and I each will drop 10k naira to the highest earnest regardless of regardless of expenses shown or not....

Transportation business is very tough business .. It is so tough that I am neutral, and I don't side anyone.. Drivers have shown me pepper... I can't tell another man how to run his business o.. I can only try and do what's works for me .. This business is just nasty ,and it is not my place for me to tell him how construct contracts for his drivers. If ask for my advice I will tell him my opinion....

It is the responsibility of both drivers and owners to research who they will be doing business with.. We have good drivers and we have bad owners ....I am not taking side from anyone ..

It is robbery to increase the charge in November/december just because the drivers earn more in that period but only come back to normal price in January/February period, if weekly charges can't be lowered below normal price in this period also.

But wouldn't want to comment much on how people manage their investments as long as the drivers accept.

Driving around Lagos is stressful, I swear down, I stopped driving on UBer or Taxify around March dis year after like two years( mind you I fed well on the job) , but around August I took anoda set of Passport photograph and I can't believe the huge difference myself. February I was thinking I am the freshest and looking good person but now, I already deleted UBer/ Taxify driver app on my phone.

Bottom line if U re not the owner of the car, please always know your exit plan, driving round lagos will make you loose weight, age quickly and generally exposed to danger every hour ,minutes and d pay is not proportional to all dese hazards etc.

NB I am adding more values to my self now both IT and Automobile technicalities.

Happy new year in advance Fellaz

On the flip side some investors think this is a gold mine and want to jump in. It may well be under the right conditions but what are those conditions? Other investors have misconceptions about driver's earnings vs take home. This exercise will shed some light.

New year, new mindset.

Post your bank statement to no one. No one saves 800k in 2 months. I thought this was about highest earner, now I'm seeing all sort of stuff. Earning is easy. Everyone has stuff to do with money they make.

It'll be absurdity for anyone to drive and save 800k in 2 months because they were promised 10k.

jpworld:

Drivers save 800k in 2 months, yet owner want only additional 5k weekly for 6weeks, not more than 30k, and yet nairaland drivers are crying and complaining.

Anyway na people were no know where to source driver na them i dey pity for this business.

This is thé genesis.

for where grin I use 25-30K fuel weekly, for those saying office workers too make expenses agreed but please always minus fuel from ur net then u can know how much u make in a week cos fuel is like ur job instrument, every other expenses like food, data oven differs on personality but fuel is very important its ur tool to work no fuel no work.

No one saves 100k a week from uber. That's impossible. Earning 800k in 8 weeks yes. Saving 800k in 8 weeks? Not in this world, not in the world to come.

I kept seeing highest earner. Which made me join the thing. Next thing I'm seeing post expenditure, break down, bank statement.... Say who die?

If I can save 800k in two months, what can 10k from an anonymous forum contributor do for me?

If 10k is for highest earner, fine.

When i asked you not heed to the challenge, you queried me if I was a police of this forum.

I understand it's your opinion, but I really think we should put ourselves in the partner's shoes.

Uber cars do not run on fresh air and sunlight. They use mechanical parts that wear and tear, and the prices of these parts increase almost every day.

What you bought for #xx in November has definitely increased in December, and will definitely increase in January. I don't see how someone would reduce his rental price because trips are limited? Will the driver use the car less in January? Obviously no

Any driver who definitely be saving ahead for January. You can start saving your two weeks rent now (60k) instead of waiting for rental reduction.

All, I mean all the prices of parts have increased.

No vex say I quote you sha

Any driver that didnt increase the weekly rental he/she pay in December shouldn't expect his/her owner partner to reduce rental in January unless the person no dey fear God
