Nice one. I remember when I went to Deeyor (Magnus Abe's place), their road leads to Joseph Yobo's village and from there, Opobo people usually boarded speed boats to their place but thank God it is now linked by road. 4 Likes 1 Share

ikorodureporta: The Opobo Unity road has 5 bridges of which Amaechi constructed 4 bridges and what was left to connect opobo by road was just one bridge. Just one bridge that has taken over 6years to complete. Shame. |

King Dandeson was even saying that the siting of Opobo by Jaja on the banks of the Imo river was visionary. That if the potentials of Opobo is looked into, it can rival the Lagos port. Well, he is actually right. And if there’s any group in Rivers coastal that still share a form of kinship with the Igbos, its the Opobo man. The federal government had already approved the establishment of a sea port in Bonny Island. Opobo came late to the party, unless they would be an extension of the port facility in Opobo which might still be a win-win situation. 1 Like 1 Share |
