Baba na via OTA o. Check the update settings.
Does your Redmi 9 record calls via the Google dialer app?

Is there an option to set it to auto recording?

I can't seem to order Poco M3 on Aliexpress. It's saying "can't ship to selected region".
How can I bypass this?

That's what Redmi has caused us to think. I'm being very sincere. Xiaomi is a better brand and I'm not placing Infinix/Tecno beside it. But in that wise (running background apps), Redmi is frustrating.

When did this start ? Was there something you did with the phone before it started ?

It has always been like this but not too intense as it is now. Ani sẹ, I must not press MENU (and then BACK, without even going to another app... that app I have opened will reload).

I updated to Android 20/ MIUI 12 lately
and the phone has generally slowed down.

Well, let's all keep deflecting from him till he receives sense

There's no reason to be insulting towards anybody grin

I'm sharing my experience. But, maybe that's all we can get in a budget/midrange device.

@ExtraUniqueGuy, do you still think there's no way to do it?

If you follow instructions, you'll get it done.

Truly, when I use two apps (Twitter and WhatsApp) now, it doesn't reload as it used to. But, that's if I don't open other apps in between. Thank you.

Aha!!!
Will Ali sellers agree to ship it free too? I seriously doubt. grin

Xiaomi went all out in making this phone sha.
I'd rate it 9.7/10 should have been 10 of not for the USB 2.0 used.

Excellent device.

These people should stop making phones too big tho.
6.8 inches is definitely too big. I don't see how anything bigger than 6.1 is comfortable.

I don't think anyone can help, the best anyone of you would do is deflect. But here's the issue anyway:

I can't multitask (that word is even a stretch). Example, I can't be on Twitter and then quickly go to WhatsApp. Twitter will restart, WhatsApp too will restart if I go back to it. Same with all the apps I have. Worst of all, I can't even press the minimise button on any app and then press back button (without even going to another app) without that app restarting. And the phone has generally slowed down.

On the Infinix note I've had since 2015, I can go back to an app I've had opened for days and I'll meet it as is.

For sure Xiaomi is way better than Infinix and Tecno (I'm not in any way comparing the 3 brands), but I enjoy seamless multitasking on that infinix compared to my Redmi note 7.

I've been an ardent reader of this Thread (I don't comment), I got to know about the phone here, and I initially thought I've found a brand to stick with.

Will never be getting anyone of the 3 again ( grin plus, I know it's none of your business
It's no secret Miui is bad with multitasking.

I think you're exaggerating your problem tho and hyping infinix too much.
Anyway, I think installing a custom rom would help as the hardware is stellar just the operating system is too aggressive with background apps.

I use a Mi 8 with 6gb ram and it closes apps anyhow too to be honest. Meanwhile, sometimes it holds apps decently in the background.
I think 8gb ram is probably minimum to enjoy multitasking better on miui.

Some of my friends buy xiaomis just for the hardware and flash custom roms almost immediately. I think it's a smart path to take.

Well I don't see them giving us any choices anymore?

From Samsung to Xiaomi, they all wield massive screens. Only Apple still has sense sef.

I faced a problem similar to his while I was using the redmi 8a 2gb ram version. That was my first xiaomi device coming from an android one device. I tot it was really bad the way miui aggressively closes background apps.
It all stopped when I switched to the 3gb version of the 8a. I think ram has something to do with the problem. But again, miui is aggressive o.

To the guy with the multitasking problem, try not to multitask with heavy apps, it may also be the cause.

Oh all right. I think you should go to the dialer app. Then click on the three dots to display the options.
