It's because they know many people will be traveling to the east during this period from different parts of the country and so they want to cash out. Check points and road blocks are usually very much during festive periods in the east |

Now travel from that same onisha to Lagos you won't see them again once you cross Benin bypass. From Benin to Lagos it's free . But from onisha to owerri, Port Harcourt, nah every inches drive they are there collecting bribe and pulling muscle on innocent citizens |

Yet people are afraid to travel across Northern routes.... Where these checkpoints are needed, you won't see them (Abuja, Zamfara, Yobe, Borno, etc). If we call this nation a failed state, most moronic sycophants will take offense. |

BIGPREEQ:Northern Nigeria and some good portion of Yorubas, especially the Muslim Yorubas are still very scared of the Igbos since 1966. They are very scared that Igbos may either fight them back or divide Nigeria. This same fear is the reason they don't want an Igbo person to become President. Their mind keep telling them to make sure Igbos are held down, that if igbos are not Policed to the core, that Igbos may repeat 1966 event and revenge on them for the evil things they committed against the Igbos. That was why they made it a secret policy in Nigeria after the end of the civil war that no Igbo man or woman will ever become Inspector General of Police or Chief of Army Staff, but they don't know that the ways of God is not the way of man, Goodluck Jonathan shocked them and made an Igbo man, General Azubuike Ihejirika the first Igbo COAS since the end of the war and this pained them so much that they swore to remove Goodluck at all cost. Now look at their region what is happening, is God not awesome in His ways 6 Likes |

BIGPREEQ: 1. SE/Igbos are highly educated and therefore law-abiding. 2. Igbos are rich and have no time to waste, therefore the Law-enforcement agencies know this and capitalize on it and extort them at every point (evidence : remember how #SARS was more brutal to the Igbos/Anambraruans specifically, because they are easily extorted, because they don't have time to waste, they pay their way out of every difficult circumstance). 3. We all know the rich fear to be criminalizsd, and there are usually bad criminals in the SE. Therefore, the SE citizens don't play with security. Hence the security intense security at every junction. I make bold to declare that the amount of Security Force imposed/deployed to the east is more than that deployed to other parts of the country/Nigeria. 4. Naija no balance at all. The Igbos are alw9at the receiving end of every evil leadership intentions in Nigeria. 5. QED. 3 Likes
