Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Ganesass: 8:49am On Dec 20, 2020 |
Hi everyone, I got a job as a software engineer in Germany and am able to get the EU blue card too. I would like to bring my family over from Nigeria. Does anyone know what the process is like and what I should do? I saw at the embassy website that the earliest date my family can get for Visa application is November 2021. This is incredibly long time. Is there a fast track process or anything I can do to shorten this time? Thanks for your help. |

Ganesass: we all are facing the same thing. so the early you apply for it, it is the better for you. lamenting wont solve the problems |

ndewogermany: True o Apply now and be preparing all your documents but take your mind away from it and be visiting your family anytime you can in Nigeria. No just put mind because family reunion takes so much time and putting your mind can be so depressing. The visa will surely come but it takes so much time. So many of us that had our interview in July are yet to get out visa. 1 Like |

tempuser2: Congratulations. Would you know if the fast track process would also apply for family reunion? On the website it says it would if the couple are both outside of Germany. I'm asking if it applies with one person already in Germany |

I just got a mail to forward the original language certificate from Goethe institute. Thought they will skip this part since my spouse is a German citizen? I’m worried because I didn’t make the last exam I sat for. Is there any option to this case ? The deadline given is too short |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Ayomideloni: 5:02pm On Dec 21, 2020 |
nuel80: Call them and ask for clarification. Tell them your spouse is also a German citizen and goethe institute is closed. They will tell you what to do. Did they ask you to submit passport and insurance too? |

Only reunion to your german child is free from the language certificate. Good luck |

Hi, sorry I'm just getting back to you. I used Mawista's Reisecare package. Went to https://www.mawista.com/en/ and bought the plan for a duration of 6 months (November - May). No Nigerian intermediary involved. Newuser999: |

Ganesass: Unfortunately, I don't know if it applies. I do know that during the fast track application, you can choose to take family along but that's as much as I know. Except the person not in Germany is the one applying but I guess you wouldn't be asking this if that was the case. Sorry I can't be of much help. 1 Like |

Write back and explain that goethe is closed, and it won't be possible to sit for the exam. If you are lucky they will give you a date for embassy test. Once you pass the embassy test then you are good to go, your visa will be issued. Good luck nuel80: 1 Like |

Good evening good people, I got a job offer in Berlin, I will be applying for visa from Dubai so I am positive it will not take much time compared to applying from Nigeria. Please Is there anyone in Berlin that can guide me on how to get the best deal on apartments? I anything from a one room apartment - 2-room apartment. My workplace would be in Berlin Mitte. I am open to all suggestions. Thank you. |
