dapsalmy:Yes I’ve sent several emails to vfs. And they replied about a week now that I should resend the courier form which I did. And yet no reply again. I tried chatting but they replied from another country saying I should contact Lagos. Now their phone doesn’t connect. What could be the problem? Is there another way for me to contact them? 1 Like |

Please I have a question. There's a part of the documentation for Visitor's visa that asks the applicant to upload document about "purpose of visit", what should I upload here? |

jjohndoe83:For context, I am a PR and I want to apply for my sister-in-law to come and help us when we have our baby next year. My mother in law is late, so its my sister-in-law that can help. She's only coming for 1 month during her annual leave. She works with a government agency (Assistant Manager) with kids and family back home and landed assets. I need advise on tips to make this a success. How much does she need to have in her account? 1 Like |

jjohndoe83: You can write that she's coming to spend her annual leave with your family. You can add that having a new baby in Canada is a new and difficult experience for you especially being far away from home and that having a support system during the period will really go a long way for you and your family. Don't forget to add your baby's birth certificate |

Ethel22:Lucky you. They haven’t responded to me again since 16th December. I’ve paid and filled form for my envelope to be sent. I paid 7th, they responded on the 16th that I should resend the form which I did same day. Till now still waiting for either courier company to contact me with tracking number for my parcel or VFS to even acknowledge receipt. How do I contact them on phone? |

If you're a permanent resident or citizen, your parents do not need a letter of authorization. They need copies of your birth certificate, their birth certificates and your PR card to be presented at the airport and POE to prove they're your immediate family members. bouqounmie: 1 Like |

[quote author=dapsalmy post=97061887]Many ways bro, just use your head. Don't go the LMIA route as it might take time and you most likely will only have 6 months to stay. The trick is, look for an immigration program with less requirement like AIPP, its easier to look for work in Canada if you're there than from here, especially if you're a graduate or have a skill. Don't go looking for manager or director job, look for menial jobs like truck driver, farmer etc, just to get a job quickly and achieve your aim, once you have gotten what u want, u can then push for your career gradually. Bottom line, use your head brother. [Bro please I need your help I have sent you DM] |

1. Hello. Since vfs is only accepting passport submissions via courier what’s the process? Do you just go to dhl and courier to vfs? If yes, please what’s the address to be sure. 2. how long does it take them to return the passport? 3. How do you make the return courier payment? Thanks |

Ogomike:This is odd, I wonder why they processed it as extended family member. Maybe you should try again using only one person's details as proof of relationship (i.e MIL's biological child). My sister has also sent an email for my mum who applied and did biometrics in February but nothing yet, I'll let you know how it goes. |

I applied for my Mum in the middle of September but didn't use the COVID-19 reason as advised. She had her biometrics on Oct 6. I sent a mail to the address on the website and got a response that it is for those who applied before Apr 9th. She got her passport request yesterday. I am assuming they are still giving priority to immediate family members. Iyabeji12: |

Apply online. You will get biometrics letter from IRCC. Its after your biometrics is updated, that's when review starts. OyiBeeBee: |
