No, no that's not the point. But losing the ball in critical positions time after time again is the problem, when you are that slow is a problem.

He had an ok game today.

Baba DDG is one of our most senior players we have right now, both in terms of experience and top level professional football, he is the only surviving member of our last title win( bar Jones), he is expected to be a leader and even captain now urging the younger ones on. He is a world class GK one of the best in the world and has already cemented his legendary status in Man United. So i get very disappointed whenever he commits silly mistakes that lets the team down expecially when it has to do with lack of concentration. Go and watch Van der sar and Schmeichel, these guys on thier one wins extra points for the team expecially when it gets very edgy in the season, not just for thier dives, saves and punches. So DDG is supposed to be that man. In case you dont know Schmeichel wasnt ecen in form during the 1999 season, but his intimidating presence and leadership charisma was one of the reasons we won the treble.
Have you ever seen me criticise Greenwood, Williams and Mctoms etc? on this board even when i do its subtle. But players like Pogba, Bruno, DDG, Marguire,Lindelof and Shaw are supposed to be leaders so we dont only expect their football abilities only on the pitch, we also expect character, psychological strength, grit and tenacity to win things.
Sir Alex teams didnt win those several trophies just by the pkayers footballing abilities alone, they won mostly with work ethics. Imagine if we have people with Bruno’s mentality like 5 in this team we will be wrapping up titles right left and centre.

In 1999 for eg there are Stam, Keane, Beckham, Schmeichel and Irwin as absolute professionals and leaders plus even Ronny Jonsen.

In 2008 we had Giggs, Rooney, Van der sar, Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick, J.S Park, Vidic and Ferdinand.
I don't want to even go to Cantona, Bruce, Hughes, Robson, Kanchelskis and Gary Pallister who formed the bedrock for the successful fergie years.

So in summary i dont hate DDG, infact he is one of my favourites, were is tge defensive organisation? Where is him screaming and scolding Lindelof, AWB or even Fred & Mctom in DM? Where is him commading his box, scaring away oppositions players, were are the occasional penalty saves in tight games? Where is him making it known to the defence line that he won't tolerate any loss of focus? These little things counts at the end of the season in tight title races and these are the trademark of legendary goal keepers whom DDG is at the level
DDG is human. He is not immune to mistakes. He is allowed to have off days. He has won us points many times in the past. He also kept us in this game and helped us get all three points.

All goalkeepers are not the same. Some goalkeepers are very good are commanding their box but have poor reflexes, some have good reflexes but poor positioning. Everybody has their own strength and they build on it. DDG has always been known to be an amazing shot stopper, he was never known to be good at commanding his box so it’s kind of funny to expect him to start doing something he was never known for when he is closer the dusk of his career than the dawn.

If you pay attention during games, you will notice that he always shouts at the defence. Honestly I don’t know where the narrative that he doesn’t communicate with the defence comes from. DDG is very vocal. Don’t you hear him screaming AWWWWAAAAYYYY!!! when crosses come into the box?

Penalty saves? Nah man, now you are just being unfair towards him. How many goalkeepers save penalties regularly? If we compare DDG’s penalty saves to other top Goalies, I am sure we wouldn’t discover much difference. Saving a penalty is due to luck more often than not. No goalkeeper should be judged based on that really.

Lastly, not every player is aggressive like Peter, Keano. Some are laid back and i don’t think there is anything wrong with being laid back.

Go check player ratings by various sites. Pogba had a higher rating vs Bruno and other Utd players, except maybe Rashford.

I know he did not do much going forward because he had to stick to his position beside Matic most of the time. Quite interesting that he alongside Matic shielded the defence to some extent.

You just don’t see any good in Pogba.....you hate him!

Controlled the game from start to finish, with a win to seal it. Beautiful team performance, especially Bailly.
If everyone plays their part well, things might just begin to click for the team. A clinical attack + a strong defense should be the standard.

The title agenda will be out in full force in March if they keep playing well. Fingers crossed.
No need to wait till March, we are winning epl this season. We have the players to win it, na Amaka we need beg to use him brain well....

Lol...You must be new here...We have had reasons to argue, sometimes very heated arguments but in all, we know too well that it's for the good of the team that's why you have find arguments here go south unlike the 'pant fc' thread...

FFS, they're fans who still supported Mourinho here even when it was obvious he had lost the plot but then, we saw it as their opinion and moved on...If the team starts dropping points and playing poorly, we will complain and since you can't replace all the players, the best bet to rejig a faltering team is to change the manager...It doesn't mean I or anyone hates him...I know you will prolly not get what I'm on about but I just had to...
Have changing of Manager anyhow work for Man Utd in recent years? Look at Arsenal, everyone was complaining of Wenger as a top 4 merchant unknown to them that he was over achieving with the resources he has.
Man Utd successful years has always been with long term coach both under Matt Busby and Sir Alex Fergusson. Liverpool success came after sticking and believing in Klopp to take them to the promise land.

Fergie era is gone, abeg.....check clubs like Real, Bayern etc, they won more major trophies than Utd because they don’t have time for sh1t.

How many UCL did Fergie win, despite spending close to 2.5 decades?
How many champions League has Bayern won in the past 20 years after changing coach up and down or Juventus, PSG and others that have continue changing coach because of champions League trophy.

Bruno Fernandes for Manchester United in 2020:

29 games..
18 goals..
14 assists..

Man has more goals contributions than number of games played.

Best midfielder in the world....

The era when clubs stick to one manager is long gone. Poch did very well with Spurs but when they started struggling he was kicked out...Also, see Mou at Chelsea and Conte afterwards...Klopp also left Dortmund when they were struggling irrespective of his earlier success with them.

If Liverpool go a season without winning a trophy now, Klopp will come under scrutiny and I am quite certain Pool won't take it easy should they go 2 seasons without a trophy.

After Van Gaals Fa cup winning season to the season we won the league cup and UEL, we should have kicked on demanding for silverware from every manager lest his job is under threat...I tell you, if it was Poch and not Ole who was appointed, nobody will give him the benefit of the doubt this long...

Koeman will most likely be fired by Barcelona should they end the season trophyless...You have to set standards...

Double cold stout for you at the bold. The same people who enjoyed Ferguson success are the same ones who wants to be changing manager up and down. If these lots where supporting united during that period Ferguson would have been sacked during his first 3 seasons. Instant success fans are the worst with their " we are United" bullshit

We shouldn't have sacked David Moyes then, since our succesful years has always been with long term coaches.

You guys don't understand. It's like a struggling company posting negatives figures for a long stretch and after hiring a new manager, they continue posting loses but at a reduced rate, they'd definitely stick the the manager that shows such promise and after a few years, they begin posting profits, huge profits...

Do you think the board of directors of such companies will remember the past if the same business with the same manager pose loses again for 2 years? Nope, they'll look to higher another manager that will continue the positive trend. Check Poch with Spurs...

In the business world, Uber didn't record profits in first couple of years but their business model showed promises thus investors weren't deterred and now, they're doing well...If they begin posting losses again, investors will begin to ask questions that demand answers, no one cares about the days when they were struggling...

You don't continue using error-prone GK, especially in tournament.

Degea had no business starting our games after series of errors, even Fergie benched him when he messed up at age 19 not to talk of 29 years old receiving 375k weekly.

"I don't expect Mr. Terebor aka Bruno is our problem to understand this"

The last time we won those trophies (Fa cup and Europa league) Romero was the best GK.

Same players you and your gang castigate and ridicule from time to time

Maguire..... useless captain, waste of money
De Gea.....Past his best. Should be dropped
Lindelof........Error prone defender
AWB....... Cannot attack, just a tackle expert
Shaw......lazy player and have no drive according to one doc here

Fred....... limited player. Cannot pass or do anything apart from run.
Mctominay.......same as fred
Pogba...... useless player, lazy and should be sold

Martial.....should be dropped as well. He is not good despite being our best attacker.
Rashford..... misses anyhow,he should stop feeding the kids and he is inconsistent.

Now all of a sudden we have the squad. Werey dey disguise.
