And Afrodoc is wrong when he said I am trying to prevent myself from being disappointed by Amaka.

I know this team and their coach. I know they are good (both of them) but they aren’t the finished product. Yet.

Like how OGS singlehandedly sent us out of the UCL. 2 games, 1 point required but he managed to lose both games by doing braggadocio. His approach for both games were wrong and although some players should’ve done better, the fault is majorly his.

The players sef get their own. Rashford , despite scoring goals here and there still makes an awful lot of bad decisions. Martial is ...Martial. Greenwood is misfiring and Cavani is not the young vibrant killer that we know. Even Fred sef get him many faults wirh his bebeto behavior. VDB get him own one-way football. And a should I talk about Magwaya and AWB? Dan James? OluwaPogba? Etc etc. Bruno is the only one I can absolve atm and he sef Dey always Dey hasty to pass the ball to someone running into a wall sometimes.

That Sevilla game, OGS didn’t do many things wrong. The attackers fvcked that one up.

I Dey always yab each player here when they fvck up on Matchdays. And I don’t spare OGS sef. He can be incompetent and annoying at times.

It seems most fans forget the bad times during the good times, and the good times during a bad patch. So they demand for more or that someone be sacked. Me sef don do am, not gonna lie.

About the title race thingy. I’m not saying United can’t win it or can’t mount a challenge, I’m just saying that development is more important than that at the moment. We should focus more on finding more ways to score and winning matches (even when we are not playing well) without looking at other teams.

Our attackers need to be more clinical. There will be matches where we’ll get one or 2 chances and if Maetial and Rashford don’t score them, na draw soup be that.

I’m sure Rashford, in the Wolves game, was just waiting for that one more chance to hit the target. And he did it. Luckily for him it went in. Bruno probably knew this, that’s why he sent that pass to him without hesitation.

That’s an improvement from before.

Amaka himself and his subordinates need to chop sense. No stupid taktiks again. Better rotation and managing of the squad. Healthy competition and inspiration too.

Now, if this gives us the trophy that’s fine. If it doesn’t, it’s also fine. But at least next season we have to be among the contenders- even if Liverpool and City are strong and have a healthy squad . We’ll just need one or two additions to the team.

We have outperformed everybody this year apart from Liverpool, which is a good sign. But I’m not deceived or carried away. I know Amaka and I know his players. They can still disappoint. They are improving but disappointment still fit happen.

I just want an 80+ points season and a title challenge at least next season. Ole may be the person to make us be contenders but it’s unlikely he’ll be the one to make us serial champions. Waiting on that one sha.

The league was won with 90+ points in the last 2 seasons (doesn’t mean it will be won wirh 90 points this season). Liverpool, although they dropped points in the last few games, can still go on a long winning run. They did it last season and the season before that. They’ve done it before. It won’t be outrageous to say they can do it again. We cannot say that about our team and coach. We are inconsistent. We have to take it one game at a time.

This is not to say that we cannot win the league this season or at least be a contender. I’m just not that sold on this team and club at the moment. You can have a different opinion and that’s fine.

Plus it’s still freaking early. We’re potentially level on points with the league toppers after 17 games and all these talks don start.

Like Rashford and Ole said weeks ago, let’s see how we are later on and we’ll see where we stand.

But this shouldn’t stop you, capitalcee and others from dreaming. We seem to be on the way back to the top and it feels good. If we don’t get there this season we have to get there next season.

I know we have our faults but our renewed believe has more to do with our struggling rivals. Since it's a general consensus that this team needs a trophy to kick on, I rather we take advantage of this window presented by the poor form of our rivals...

Cautious optimism is what I have. There has been an improvement from those games but I no dey carried away.

Teams experience problems during the course of a season - fatigue, injuries, lack of motivation , infighting, change in tactics, etc rhat can make them drop points. How those problems are managed determines if they will be their undoing.

Lampard started the season brightly. He’s having problems now. We had problems at the beginning of the season, we’re doing better now. Even Liverpool sef , have had problems during the course of the season.

80 points at least. Else, we never see anything.

I think we have a relatively large squad that can deal with fatigue and injuries better than most of our rivals if Ole gets it right...

I will like Ole to use some of these cup competition to try out a system excluding Bruno just so we are prepared in any case he picks up a knock.

In all, I hope we put up a good fight for the title and win at least one cup competition just to boost the overall confidence of the team...

Yup. We need additions. Especially on the RW.

Rashford seems to be the most efficient player there ar the moment. He can cross wirh his right and cut in and shoot with his left. Make Greenwood dey take notes.

I’m really hoping Greenwood grows and cements a place across the front three. His physicality and decision making needs work.

However, I’m not 100% sold on squad depth. We are way better than where we are last season though.

Cavani can get injured at any time. And Bruno is involved in almost all goals. If he’s out of the picture na problem be that for us. Can’t play Pogba as AM. Or Mata. Or even VDB.

We need others to step up more often.

VDB has played that Bruno position in cup games this season more than once and it wasn’t good. Bruno still had to come on and provide the goal.

Ole needs to still play some games without Bruno this season, like you rightly said. We shouldn’t build the team around one player. Everyone needs to step up.

And yeah. We need a trophy this season. May not be the league but other trophies dey. We beat City in the Carabao cup and we are one step closer.

I will never understand the authority in which some fans claim a coach used the wrong tactics/lineup for a particular game just because they lost. If they ask you to bring out your proposed lineup and tactics for tomorrow game you won't say anything sensible. Tommorow when line up come out you will see the coaching experts forming activity.

Agreed. Ole plays a 4-2-3-1 and a 3-5-2 majorly. He needs at least one more formation tweak. Months ago he tried the 4-4-2 diamond and quickly dropped it when kasala burst.

Pogba can play in a 4-3-3 midfield. We’ll just need the wingers and forwards to do more.

This is why I think Ole is not there. And his in-game management needs to be top notch. Always.

We are not bad bad. We’re getting better. Rashford is scoring goals despite having a not so good performance and Martial sef Dey provide assists.

If we replace the first half of last season with that of this season, we definitely won’t end with 66 points and we’d be closer to Liverpool when the season ended a few months ago.

Ever since Bruno came in we have had a better league performance than Chelshit, Spurs, and even Man City. So if we can’t challenge for the title who can?

Our defence is a cause for concern but we have the kind squad depth that most other teams lack. Bailly, Telles, Pogba, VDB, Henderson, Cavani have essentially been bench players this season.

We have been lucky with injuries so far and even with injuries there is not much of a drop off between our 1st team players and the replacements in most positions.

I am not saying Amaka must win the title but to say that we can’t challenge for the title this season would be cowardly.
